It is cold here today. The wind is blowing and little ice pellets are flying around. My dog took 1 step off the patio and turned around to come back in this morning. It ought to be fun driving to dd's tomorrow:eek:
I am not sure what I will do today. I will probably do some upper body weights but try to keep the impact down. My knee is much better but there is still some slight discomfort.
 
DianeSue - Sorry that your knee is still giving you trouble.


Today I did Atletic Step from Shock Cardio. Boy what a fun workout. IT was 47 minutes long but I have no idea about the calorie burn as I didn't wear my HRM. I don't believe it anyway so what's the sense.


I have a question - For the past month I have been suffering with chronic chapped lips - does anyone have any great secrets for dealing with this?

I'm off today and waiting on the giant snow storm :D Today will be cardio or nothing, I am waiting to see if shock cardio is going to get delivered today. DH has to work tomorrow so I will not being doing much until he gets home @ 8 pm

Diane Sue- I'm assuming you are getting the snow too. Hope you have a good workout.

Linda-I use Aveda lip balm which moisturizes unlike anything I have ever seen. I try to use it any time I think I want to lick my lips (which is a bad habit for me). The Aveda stuff is not the cheapest but it does last for awhile and really moisturizes unlike any other. Also, once or twice a week you could use straight sugar granules and rub it on your lips to exfoliate. It is not quite as harsh as some of the other exfoliants and will help get the dry dead skin off. SORRT IT IS SO WORDY. Hope it helps :)

Today was suppose to be Yoga X but I needed to do some cardio. I'm skipping the yoga this week and doing cardio today and Sunday. Today I did Kenpo X and I'll probably do Strikezone on Sunday.

Had a great workout and wore my 1# gloves. Got my HR up to 150bpm at one point. Love this workout.

443 calories burned

I did my workout. Was so unsure of what I wanted to do. I am hoping to maybe do Shock cardio cardio core circuit and maybe athletic step tomorrow. I got them today:D Anyway I started with Kelly Coffey's Bootcamp workout #1 27 minutes, was too much jumping, then I did Tracey Staehle's Ciruit Zone upper 23 minutes using my 20# kettlebell and weights from 8-25#, I followed with 4 Day Split Low Impact Circuit which was cardio segments and upper body, then finishing with some extra foam roller and stretching segments for 19 minutes really working on the hip flexors, hamstrings, and quads. Total time 2 hr 17 min 753 calories Max HR 143.
 
Debbie, I am glad that you got Kempo X in with your gloves. Nice calorie burn.

Theresa, yes, this weather is awful. We scooped up snow. It is so cold. Bill's Computer is done but we are going to have to wait till Saturday to go pick it up. It is really bad. I sure hope travel is not too terrible to dd's tomorrow afternoon. Our outside lights were blowing off along the driveway so I went out to get them. That icey stuff stung when it hit me. Now I know why the dog didn't want to go outside.

Linda, I like to use anything with Shea butter and vitamin E on my lips. Otherwise for dry areas on my face. I just use petroleum jelly which is what dd recommends or Cereve creme everywhere. I use lip balm on my elbows :D I really like Aromaleigh lip balms www.aromaleigh.com Hardly have problems with my lips when I use their products. Bare Minerals Buzz Latte is nice too and works.
