Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for week of July 9

Dad came home from the hospital Friday after a month long stay, we are all so happy. Now his hard work of rehab starts!!

Today was cardio for me, I did Imax 2.
 
Good morning everyone. Still have that pain but it's SLOWLY getting better. Today I did Yoga Stretch and felt great afterwards. The worst is when I sit still, it gets tight and starts hurting again. This week I will concentrate on stretch and light yoga workouts. I may get on my treadmill and walk for a while just to get moving again.

I ordered Cathe's Yoga Relax and haven't received it yet. I don't know why, I usually get her workouts 2 days after I order them. I emailed them and hoping to hear from them soon.

Hope you are all doing well! Sorry I haven't checked in, me and my dh were on a mini vacation last week so I wasn't online at all.
 
Today I started the last phase of P90X2. I did PAP lower body, 61 min, 306 calories. I followed this with To The Max Less Impact 38 min, Max HR 155, 252 calories. Total time was 99 min and calories burned 558. Tomorrow I will get PAP Upper in and I have to leave town so Wednesday will be a rest day since I will be driving back later in the day.
PAP Lower breakdown:
two complexes repeated 4 times
step up convict (step up with knee up and down into a lunge) 20# dumbbells 8 reps right 8 reps left
skater plyo 8 reps
1 leg line hop 20 sec right 20 sec left hopping forward and back and side to side switching every 5 sec
tony's triangle 8 reps right 8 reps left (side lying leg raise front up and to back up
repeat 3 more times
squat cross reach with dumbbell 8 reps right 8 reps left 15#
split squat jump 8 reps ( think tony says 6 but I got 8 every time)
monster salom 30 sec side to side hops as fast and far as you can
side bridge leg lift and hold 30 sec right 30 sec left
repeat 3 more times

Debbie, glad to see you back:) I really do like Cathe's yoga relax. Maybe it will come today and you can do it.

Roselyn, I am so happy to hear that your Dad is home now. I am sure that is a relief for you.
 
Todays workout was P90X2 PAP Upper. That is all I did. I didn't sleep well and I have to make a 2 hr drive for my mammogram. I will stay overnight and come back tomorrow with my granddaughter. 51 min, 206 calories
PAP upper breakdown:
2 complexes each done 4 times
Renegade Rows with a push up in between 10 reps 15#
Plyo Push ups 6 reps
plank on med ball 60 seconds
superman with 5 lb bar hold 45 sec

towel pull up 10 reps (I followed the person with the tubing)
med ball pike (V up ??) 10 reps 15 2 rnds 10 reps 10# 10 reps
step up hammer press 10 reps switching legs at 5 reps. 12 # 1 rnd 15's the other 3(this was not what I expected because you really do not step up on the bench)
roller angel 30 sec
 
Hey Guys,:)

Yesterday kicked started my workout with a 2 hour walk. This morning, to drained to get up quessing from the sun. Restarting STS, this evening workout will be d-1. Y'all know Cathe is coming out with new series, seems to me.....like a must have. I'm going to order her 2 new ones today or Friday, hm........I previewed and YES I like them both. Morning Guys:)

This morning, I slept ;) Yesterday, I did a 4 mile run and 2 mile walk I could not help it. When I got off work the sunshine felted so perfect:cool: Not sure what I am doing this evening but know this, will be doing something.
 
So I think I'm finally going to be able to start working out on Monday. That's my plan anyways. My pain is gone, I just have a little bit of tightness and I'm trying to work that out with my stretching. Doing my Yoga Stretch workout each morning makes me realize how tight my muscles are. I even have a hard time sleeping on my left side because my IT band is so tight that it hurts to lay on it. It is getting much better now with all this stretching.

So my plan for a few weeks is this:

Monday - Yoga
Tuesday - Treadmill
Wednesday - Total Body workout
Thursday - Yoga
Friday - Treadmill

I'm going to see how that goes and see if the yoga will help my muscles loosen up. On the days I don't do yoga, I will make a conscience effort to do my Yoga Stretch in the evening. I have too. I may even get out the Stretch Max workout I have from Cathe.

I hope one day a week with weights will be good enough to maintain my tone right now. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
 
We went out last night and bought me a new cell phone. No one could hear me on my other iphone and it was totally frustrating. I got a cute new Otterbox case with a pink and grey design on it and a white iphone 4s:D
Workout today was P90X2 PAP Lower(realized it was supposed to be Yoga X 2 after I started) This has so much jumping in it. 61 min, 325 calories. I followed this with Amy's Drop Sets legs, biceps, core and stretch 52 min, 277 calories. I felt I needed more weights. I am getting thinner than I would like. Tomorrow I will try to hit Crossfire and yoga then Sat upper PAP with Dropsets back and triceps. See if I can stick to that;) Total time today was 1 hr 53 min and calories burned was 602. I had a rest day yesterday. Lots of time spent on the road.

Debbie, I hope that works out for you. I am glad that you are feeling ready to get back into some workouts.
 
Hi Everyone

Me so happy its Friday:) Yesterday, I went for a 4 mile run. I had an ok run, I'm getting bored it is time to move on:rolleyes:. I ordered Cathe's Too the Max and CrossFire these workouts are da-bomb. Hope to have it soon, like tomorrow or Monday, I can dream right.

This morning I did the Cross Fire Extreme premix 74 min, 601 cal, max hr 169. This one had both bonuses and did the plyo tabata segment twice. I really liked it and was sweating buckets.

Debbie I think that your plan looks good. I believe you should be ok for 2 or 3 weeks. Then maybe do a 2 total body workouts but make one really light or bodyweight stuff.

Today I had to cut my workout plans short. I missed Yoga X2. I did P90X2 PAP upper 51 min followed by Amy's Drop Sets Back and Triceps and part of the stretch. I had a call from a friend from out of town and she came to visit. I then had family over for an early birthday for my dd.

It is a rest day for me today. I am doing projects around the house and need to go out and plant a couple of new plants when it cools off outside. I will be back at P90X2 tomorrow.
