Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for Wed. April 13

Today was total body and I had an excellent workout. Same workout as last Wednesday only in superset fasion.

4 sets/8 reps with 1 minute 30 second rest between each superset.

SS #1
Upright Row - 57# (up 2#)
ss w/
Leg Press Station - 230# (up 10#)

SS #2
Incline Hammer Curls - 22's (up 2#)
ss w/
Overhead Tricep Extension - 35# (up 5#)

SS #3
Incline Barbell Press - 95# (up 5#)
ss w/
One Arm Row - 35# (up 5#)

Pretty big increases on most exercises. I was shocked I did 95# with the incline and it seemed easy.

So I'm wondering if we should keep this thread going or not? I talked to Theresa and she said all the hardcore people are posting their workouts on FB and I'm wondering if the only reason this thread is still going is because I'm not on FB? If so, I think we should just stop posting. I hate to make people (Diane Sue and Roselyn) have to come here to post because of me. I'll miss you guys, but there is no sense in keeping this going for three people.

What do you think?

Debbie, I think we should keep this going. I like checking here. Roselyn doesn't check in on the facebook check in. I have 3 places that I check in right now. I hava always posted on Cathe's and I don't know where else I would post here.

I woke with pain in my left shoulder and trap/neck area again. I think I have pinpointed it to a move in the back and biceps Supreme 90 workout because each of the 3 weeks I have done this workout this has happened, I iced it and took Excedrin and it feels better. So, my plan to do Chest, Shoulders and tris will have to wait a day or two.
Workout was Amy Bento's Step Challenge 4 doing the Power ups twice, 68 min, 481 calories, max hr 158. I then did Supreme 90 Ultimate ball 30 min 160 calories, added Tracey Staehle's Core Blast standing med ball segment and stability ball segment 10 min 62 calories. I finished with Shiva Rea's Power Yoga Flow fire and water segment 22 min 71 calories. Total time was 2hr10min and calories burned 774.

Roselyn, I keep thinking that I want to do that barre workout when I do legs from Supreme 90 but then for some reason I end up doing something else. I really like it. Nice workout.

Today's meals:
1-half banana, almonds, coconut water and vanilla whey shake
2-salmon on salad with fat free ranch and bbq sauce
3-potato soup recipe I got from a friend(I told dd I would make it for dinner tonight) I have to do the macros with the lower fat ingredients
3-frito lay fruit & nut trail mix
4-decaf coffee whey shake

Is there a facebook group? I didn't know. In general, FB seems to be the social center of choice now, though.

I am on a partial spring break so I could have gone to yoga this morning, but lack of energy got the better of me. I didn't actually get much sleep since I went to bed late and am so used to getting up early now that it takes a couple days before I can sleep past seven or so. Evil morning schedules mess me up. I am not a morning person.

Last night was Pyramid Upper Body--I did the Pyramid Down premix. I'll go to yoga later today, probably the 3:30 class.

Hermia, I am loving doing yoga more and more along with my weights and cardio. I think there is so many benefits. Some strength and depending on the workout you can get the HR up some. Some are just plain relaxing and feel good workouts. Those schedules mess me up too. DH always likes to stay up later. Weekends I would stay up till the early morning hours and go to bed only to wake up around 5 am. Then I would be dragging or napping on the couch. Turning it back around on Monday. Probably not so good for us either. It leaches the energy out or something.

Roselyn and Hermia, it is just a private Hardcore facebook group that used to check in here. Not affiliated with Cathe.com I have been checking in here from the beginning. Not wanting to change that. I love Cathe's workouts and forums. There is lots to offer here, I believe more than others if you want to use it.

Debbie, I don't think any of the check ins I looked at had that many people that were dedicated to checking in. I guess that is just how it is. It is fun listening to what the others do and sharing meal ideas and workouts though. I sure wish there were more of us.

I made that potato soup and the Macros were not too bad at 188 calories, 5 gm fat, 27 carbs, 6 pro. Not a clean recipe though with canned soup etc.. We ended up with focciaca bread which I did not figure in. I skipped the protein shake I had planned. Also added a small side salad.
