Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for Mon Sept 12

This morning I did Tracey Staehle's Total Body Bootcamp Strength workout # 3 43 minutes, 291 calories. I then did Tracey's Cardio Kickbox Challenge 30 min. premix skipping the w/up. 26 min, 169 cal, max hr 151. When I came back from taking to school I did budokon strength and balance skipping the meditations. 34 min, 167 calories. Total workout time was 1 hr 43 min and calories burned 627.

Bootcamp strength workout #3 43 min
120sec work/30 sec rest 4 rounds each exercise group
1A kettlebell or dumbbell squat 2A kettlebell or dumbbell jump squat
done 2x no rest then rest and repeat
2A TRX inverted row or dumbbell t's, 2B TRX Y's or dumbbell y's bentover
done 2x no rest then rest and repeat
3A TRX Hamstring curl or stability ball hamstring curl 3B hamstring hold on ball or TRX
done 2x rest and repeat
4A push up, 4B 1 arm 1leg plank balance
done 2x rest and repeat
5A TRX or 1 leg burpee right then 5B TRX or 1 leg burpee right
done 2x then rest and repeat
finisher 10/15 8rounds ab hold, bicycles
tabata 20/10 8 rnds toe touch, scissors

Roselyn, I bet your arms and shoulders are fried after that. Once in a week is plenty:D

I'm back, sorry I haven't checked in. We went on vacation last week so thats why I have been mia.

Vacation was awesome! We went to Mackinac Island in upper Michigan and wow, what a beautiful place that is. We were there Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and drove home on Friday. Weather could not have been better. We were kicking ourselves that we didn't stay one more day. We definitely could have. But none-the-less, we had a great time. We seen two fabulous sunsets. Wish I was still there.

Thursday we took a hike on our own throughout the entire island. The island is 8 miles around. We figured we walked that and then some. Lots of steep hills, steps, and paths. Very fun. I couldn't walk the next day. Driving home was brutal, every time we stopped somewhere I would hobble out of the car and it took several steps for my muscles to start working.

I felt very old that day.

My upper back/shoulder area is about 95% better. I still didn't want to chance lifting this week so I'm taking yet another week off from that. I did get up early and ran on my treadmill. All we did was eat this week and I really needed to get my body moving again.

This morning I did Cardio Coach #7 but only did Challenge 1 which was 21 minutes long. Did fine with it. Didn't want to chance irritating my upper back/shoulder area. It's getting irritated sitting here at my desk again. WTH? It has been fine since Wednesday.
