HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR MON NOV 15

Here we go, the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Bad foods, skipped workouts. I'm going to coast through the rest of the year as best as I can. When January 1st hits, I'm tightening down on my foods and I'm going to lean out if it kills me before summer.

As for the next two months, I'm going to be doing a rotation I made up a long time ago. The first week is doing straight sets, the second is supersets. I like this workout because you get in and get out. On superset week I might even do a half hour of cardio because I know the supersets will cut my workout time in half. So we'll see.

I started this morning with Back and Chest. Had a really good workout. It went fast.

1 minute rest between each set.

BACK
Barbell Rows - 55#/12 reps - 2 sets (warmup)
Barbell Rows - 70#/8 reps - 3 sets

One Arm Rows - 30#/10 reps - 3 sets

Pullovers - 25#/12 reps - 3 sets

CHEST
Pushups - 12 reps/3 sets
***Good warmup, haven't done pushups since STS.

Barbell Bench Press - 85#/8 reps - 4 sets

Incline Dumbbell Press - 30's/10 reps - 3 sets

Flat Bench Dumbbell Flyes - 20's/12 reps - 3 sets

Felt good to have iron back in my hands!

Let the holidays begin.... :D

Good morning -

Roselyn - I have Low Max sitting by my player - thought about doing it Saturday  Nice job actually getting it done :) Did you take out your Christmas decorations over the weekend?

Debbie - Did you enjoy your rest week? Back at it strong -- sounds like you picked another great rotation. Good attitude about the Holiday's -- they really do disrupt a lot of people's normal routines. Ours may be kind of quiet and low key this year. I really kind of hope so, but who knows with a 13 year old boy factored in

Yesterday, I did Insanity and Budokon Power and Agility. Today, I will probably do Muscle Endurance -- thinking about a week of full body workouts and then a couple weeks of Meso 3 (thanks Roselyn ;)). I won't likely do the whole 4 week 5% method approach because I've been thinking about going through the STS program again sometime in the next few months. After (or before [?]) that, I'd still like to try the Simply Huge rotation. Obviously, I haven't sorted this all out yet and need to think it through some more.

In case you didn't see, Roselyn suggested a cookie recipe exchange -- she and Diane Sue posted a couple already this weekend and both of them look very good. I haven't had a chance to go through mine (but should anyway). I'll try to post something later today.

Have a great workout, everyone.

Lori

Hey Guys :)

I am dragging today and a bit of a hangover, not nice, I know. Yesterday evening, my brother had a cut out for family and friends. And guess who drank too much? :eek:Remy on ice, OUCH

Saturday I worked outside in my yard and got so much done, I really wore myself out. I couldn’t help it, the weather was simply perfect.

The gutter guy did a fab job and he even cut down lots of branches for me, that was hanging over garage got much done.

Debbie - glad you are back, did you get rested? I am already getting stressed about the holidays this is a scary time for me since $$ is tight, I maaaaay not cook. I have to see.

Have a good day guys

Roselyn - Nice job on Lowmax! I may do that one this week. Not sure yet, though. It's a good calorie burn for me, however.

Lori - Yes, I enjoyed my rest week. Too much so. I wanted to take another one. :) What do we have to do with the cookie recipe thing???

Teddygirl - I personally hate the holidays. I'll be glad when they are over. Too many places to go, too much money to spend. It really brings me down. :(

I started my workout late this morning. Had a hard time sleeping and went to bed way to late. Anyway, I got up just before Olivia arrived. I started my workout with Amy's Hi/Lo Knockout w/up, combo and knockout 1, and weighted abs 32 minutes, 203 calories, Max HR 147. I then did STS Mesocycle 1 week 4 disc 11 back and triceps, 57 minutes, 298 calories. I finished with Budokon maintenence 30 minutes maintenance workout 33 minutes 147 calories. The yoga is basic in this but gets a good stretch and I kind of like the martial arts portion. Not a huge calorie burner. My HR got up to 127 with the punches and kicks. Total time 2 hrs 2 minutes and calories burned 648

Roselyn, that is a fun workout choice:D Hope you enjoyed it. I need to look for some more recipes. I have several that everyone loves. The one I posted just happened to be one I have used quite a bit recently and sent out to my nephew's wife in WA. So it was handy on my desktop:)

Debbie, I am hoping to find some sort of motivation to eat healthy through the holidays as much as possible and possibly resist some stuff??
Although it is already starting. Friday is Thanksgiving dinner at my grandsons school. I am the designated adult since his mother teaches in the same school and her class has a different lunch hour. Then there is a birthday party Sunday and I am making the chocolate cake. Yikes!! There will be enchiladas. Then on Thanksgiving (fortunately at dd's so no leftovers:D) I wouldn't mind the turkey though. But my other daughter wants me to make homemade cinnamon rolls with them and have them in the morning while watching the parades. That is scarey as my plugged the recipe I use into my Master Cook and these have over 500 calories in one. Can't imagine room for dinner. Funny how I always end up back where I was though.

Teddy, glad you got things done and the gutter cleaning went well:) Sorry about the hangover. Those are not fun. And on the holidays. They have crept up on me. I didn't even think about them with dh leaving and all the things going on here. I have no idea what I am going to buy or when. I always dread all of that spending and I hate going to Target or Walmart to get something I need when it is packed with Christmas shoppers. I don't even feel like putting up a tree. I am supposed to have Christmas here since dh wanted it. Now he is gone. So I don't know what I will do. Maybe I will get out the little tiny tree that you just plug in.
