Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for Mon July 18

Today starts Week 4 of C25K. Now I'm going to start doing this by actual distance, not time. The workout plan breaks it down into both, but I want to concentrate on actual distance now.

The longest stretch today was 2 - 1/2 mile jogs. I did them both. It alternated between 1/4 mile jogs and 1/2 mile jogs. Walk times were 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile depending on which interval you did. I did good. By the last 1/2 mile stretch my inner thigh got really tight again. WTF? I'll need to start stretching before these jogs from now on. I think that will help.

I tightened my strap on my HR monitor and it helped a lot. It only lost my HR once during this entire workout.

CARDIO STATS:
46 minutes total
6 minutes below zone
18 minutes in zone
23 minutes above zone
368 calories burned
2.5 miles travelled

This rotation must be brining up my metabolism big time. I am so hungry all the time. And it seems like I can eat whatever, I seem to be leaning out pretty good with this. I'm glad! :D

Diane Sue - That is why I got rid of my Polar watches, it is just too much of a pain to get the batteries changed. And shame on them for charging you to get it done, that is ridiculous. And OMG on those weights you have to change. I remember seeing the advertisement for those and wanting them so bad, but I'm glad now I don't have them. It sounds like such a pain! Did you just get those recently or have you had them?

Debbie, DH got me the select tech weights with the stand for Christmas. I like them but when they hang up in the holders it makes me angry. You are not supposed to force turn the dial and they are saying to push a button to release the weight plates on the bottom of the handle. I cannot do that if they are stuck in the holder:confused: When I use them heavy I think it is harder to get them back in the holder exactly right so they lock up.

Today was a day all to myself. So, I slept in then took my time with my workout. Soaked in bath salts and did a facial and hair treatment:D It is hard to find time for that sort of thing.
Workout was total body and I wanted to use kettlebells. I did Lauren Brooks Body Sculpting and conditioning with kettlebells 3 upper and lower body emphasis workouts 41 min, 271 calories. I then did Brook Benton's Kettlebody bell body sculpt workout using heaver weights this time and changing up some of the moves a little and adding 50 standing calf raises with 25# dumbbells. 37 min, 200 caloories. I did a treadmill hill walk and jog for 26 min and went 2 miles. 218 calories HR avg 135 max 155. I finished off with SHiva Rea's Power Yoga Flow fire and water segment, 22 min 91 cal.. TOtal time 2 hr 6 min and 780 calories. I just had some crockpot steal cut oats made with egg beaters and ricotta cheese and added 1/2 serving of chocolate whey. This was pretty yummy.
Yesterday was a birthday dinner here so eats were just ok. Roast with potatoes and carrots. Dessert was a low sodium desert made with a crust of unsalted butter, spelt flour and 2 Tbs sugar, blueberry pie filling on top and light cream cheese whipped and folded into light cool whip. So, not real great. No breakfast , but I did have a salad for lunch.
