HARD CORE FITNESS MANIACS FOR MON DEC 27

Today I did upper body work, bis, tris and shoulders and then I did an Hiit 15 TF.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas, so sad that it comes and goes so quickly, hard to get moving to go to work today:(
 
Hope you all had a great Christmas! We sure did! And Santa was really good to me this year. I got a Keurig Coffee Machine - LOVE IT! And a Weslo Recumbent Bike. Haven't really used it yet, but plan to tomorrow for my cardio workout. It has 4 workout programs on it and I'm going to try one of them. It's really awesome, it even has a knob to adjust the tension. I can't wait to use it. I had all intentions of getting on it for about a half hour after my workout this morning but I'm wiped out. This was definitely a puke status workout.

Today was Chest and Triceps. Straight sets today. Like I said, it was a puke status workout.

1 minute rest between each set. 3 minutes rest between chest & tri's exercises.

WARMUP
Incline Barbell Press - 65#/12 reps - 2 sets

CHEST
Incline Barbell Press - 85#/8 reps - 3 sets (up 5#)

Flat Bench Dumbbell Press - 37's/10 reps - 3 sets (up 2#)
***Wow, this one was tough. The last few sets were really hard.

Incline Dumbbell Flyes - 27's/12 reps - 3 sets (up 2#)

Toes on Stability Ball Pushups - 20/17/12 reps
***As you can see by the last set I was fried.

TRICEPS
Overhead Dumbbell Extension - 37#/8 reps - 3 sets (up 2#)
***Did this slowly and felt it really good.

Lying EZ Curl Bar Extensions - 50#/10 reps - 1 set
Lying EZ Curl Bar Extensions - 50#/8 reps - 1 set
Lying EZ Curl Bar Extensions - 45#/10 reps - 1 set
***Ok, I give up on the 50#. I just could not do all three sets at this weight and had a hard time last time as well. Dropped it to 45# and that was perfect.

Weighted Bench Dips - 55#/12 reps - 3 sets (up 10#)

Seasaw Pushups - 11 reps - 1 set
Seasaw Pushups - 12 reps - 2 sets

I'm off from work all week this week. My boss decided to not do an issue for the 1st week in January because it's usually a break-even issue. So he actually gave us this week off with pay. :eek: I know I'll enjoy the time off!
 
Roselyn - Christmas does go by so quickly. I sometimes get a bit of post-Christmas let down. I hope you had a great one, and enjoyed your workout today.

Debbie - How great that you get the week off, and your presents sound very cool (especially the bike). Nice job on the workout today - good wieghts there :)

Yesterday, NOTHING. DS was gone and I spent an awful lot of time hanging on the couch with Skyler :confused: Haven't done that in a long time. Need to get back at it today. I have Max Cardio Conditioning scheduled (and abs). Depending on energy and time, I may try to get some other add-ons in there.

Today's workout was Shock Cardio Circuit Blast 44 min, 322 calories, Max HR 157. I also did High Reps Lower Body Premix which has the abs too. 35 minutes 22 calories burned. Total time 79 minutes and calories 544. I am still having a hard time with cardio. I really am thinking since two of the grandchildren got the flu this last week despite the flu shot, that that might have been what I had. I was feeling pumped about getting started but once into the workout I felt I was dragging through it.

I'm just thinking about how long you've been sick -- and then the antibiotic allergy and too, being around sick family members and the inherent stress of the Holidays (which is hopefully mostly good stress, but even still ...) :eek: I'm sure it's hard for you, but I imagine it may take your system awhile to recover from all that. I'm sure you realize this, but hearing it from an outside source (hopefully) helps reinforce that it can be a good and necessary thing to be GENTLE with yourself sometimes. That was a great workout, though. It's been awhile since I did Circuit Blast -- I remember it as being a fun mix, IF one isn't worn down from a long haul with various illnesses. I'm trying to think and can't even remember how long this has been going on for you -- hasn't it been about a month or something like that??? Whatever the time period, it's been ridiculously long and I hope you continue to feel much better. So much for the flu shot, huh :confused: ?
