Hard Core Fitness Maniacs for Mon Aug 8

Today was bis, tris and shoulders and abs.

My son made it through the wisdom teeth extractions, very swollen and the Vicodin he was prescribed does not effect him much, my daughter when she took it, slept and was able to sleep through some of the pain but not him, very weird. So, the pain has been a little hard for him and the surgeon said today would be the worst day (Day 3) because healing really starts, all anesthesia is out of system, so we shall see.
 
Today starts Week 7 of C25K. This week is 3 days of 2.5 miles straight. :eek:

I'm happy to say, I did it! I set my timer for 37 minutes, put it on the side of my treadmill where I couldn't see it, covered my display, started my music and started jogging. Did well until the last 1/4 mile. I just wanted it to be over. I really wish I could learn to love running. I just don't feel it. Where is that euphoria you're suppose to get after running? That runners high? Maybe I'm just not pushing myself hard enough to get that, but I certainly have never experienced it. Even with Cardio Coach, I've never experienced a runners high. :rolleyes:

Oh well. At least I feel accomplished.

Workout was a mixture.
Amy's Kettlebell Squared w/up and combo/ interval 1 & 2 32 minutes 212 calories, Max HR 146
I then did Real Time with AD 11:47 min 71 calories I think these are all 20 sec
barbell get up sit up 4 sets 31lb
TRX(bandit loop) lunge which I did 2 sets on right then 2 sets on left because it takes too long to get my foot in the loop. I did the jump in the lunge
kettlebell vintage squat 35# 4 sets
dumbbell vintage swing 25# 4 sets
wild russian which I just did the russian twist with feet off the floor 25# kb
TRX Drew Brees Performance Circuit without the balance and agility segment and adding 100 14kg swings at the end 27 min, 150 calories This was shoulders, core, and lower body
I finished with Amy's Kettlebell Squared kickbox combo 3 and cool down and stretch 15:45 min and 80 calories
87 min total 513 calories

Roselyn, sorry your son had to have that experience. I know how miserable it can be. I hope it goes away soon.

Debbie, yeah for getting it done. I used to run up to 10 miles at a time and I didn't feel anything I felt was a runners high. I turned on the television and wore a wireless headset to try to semi occupy my mind so I wasn't bored to death. But I still like doing a run once in awhile with some good music or motivational audio workouts.
