Morning! I did Cardio Kicks and one of the premixes on Ab Hits- good workout.

Roselyn: I would do L&G or PS Legs.

Shana: Forgot to mention that I love that bike! Are you so happy with it? Still bummed you won't be at the RT, but totally get why you aren't going. :)
 
Patti: I am bummed to not get to meet you! The main thing that I agonized over was missing out on meeting a few people, you being one of them :) BUT, missing the RT itself was totally worth it. That bike is amazing - thanks for asking. Still, too bad to miss out. Maybe next year.

The race today was awesome. It was so hot though and I'm now getting my normal headache after getting too hot. My swim portion was tons better than last time. I rode my new bike - tried out the clipping in thing yesterday and it was not bad at all - the bike portion is definitely my favorite- running the least fave. Still, though, I ran most of it so I was very proud of that. The calorie burn was 1055, avg HR 169, max HR 187. I came in at 1:29:33 (according to my watch). It was a 300 meter swim, 12 mile bike ride and 3 mile run. Need to still work a bit on the transitions to make them faster but it is all in practice. I wanted to beat my time last time and I did that by about 5 minutes, plus the ride was 2 miles longer...so I'm happy! (And a bit stiff and sore :p).

Hooray Shana! Good for you- you sound happy. :) So fun that you are doing these. I hear you on the RT and totally get why you're missing it. Like you said, maybe next year.

I took a rest day as well which I probably shouldn't have since I ate way too much at a party yesterday. anybody else watch UFC?

Shana-All I can say is OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH that is a pretty bike. My hubby is an avid cyclist and he saw the pic on the forum yesterday and started asking a ton of questions. Nice work on your race.
 
No workout today. I am taking a rest day. Went to church and came back and took a nap. I feel kind of lazy today LOL Especially with things still needing done. We got some pictures hung so things are coming together. We have dd's birthday here next weekend.

Roselyn, I would have to think a bit on a substituion. Leaner legs has tons of reps for each exercise. Maybe you could combine a couple of lower only endurance based workouts or do Legs and glutes. Just the legs only from Power Hour is similar so you could do the lower segments only by skipping the upper body and maybe do them twice.

Patti, ab hits is the only Cathe workout I have never purchased. I always figured I had the routines on other workouts so was not excited about buying it. I bet the premixes would be good.

Linda, the bow and arrow w/ band starts with 4 slow reps then 3 sets of 15 reps at quick pace.

Linda: On pretty much every band exercise in Meso 1 she does 8 singles and then 4 sets of 8 count (coming in on 8) pulses. I'll check later but I don't think she does 15 pulses.
 
Linda and Patti, I went back and checked the STS dvd and the bow and arrow move is 4 then 15 and 1. That is a quote from Cathe. It is 4 slow then 15 reps on the first set then 15 on two more. I get confused with reps on these too;) I had to put the disc in to check.
 
Diane Sue: Thanks I was just heading down to check on this and you saved me a trip! :D Guess I was wrong...not the first time. :)
 
Diane Sue & Patti - Thanks for helping me out! The clip show the 4 singles and the first set of 15 pulse, then cuts off right when she says to do another 15 rep pulse, so I was unable to tell how many more sets there were after that. Not looking forward to the drop sets of pushups tomorrow.:confused:
