I just wanted to take the time to wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July! Please take time to think of troops on deployment this weekend. Being a veteran, this day means so much to all military men and women. It is especially hard when you cannot be home for the holiday. Give your family an extra kiss and an extra hug too!
Being from a family of war veterans, I whole-heartedly concur. I just found out yesterday that my nephew, who had been serving in Iraq with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, is now safely in the states. This great news makes this an especially fantastic July 4th holiday. God Bless America, and God Bless the brave men and women still serving in foreign territory in these very trying times.
