Happy July 4, ladies, and Happy Friday to Shelley (and hooray for your half-day!)!
Hooray, Kristi is back!!

But now we'll miss Kara while she's gone. :-(
Sorry that I didn't get a chance to check back in yesterday. We brought DH's friend and his wife lunch, and spent the afternoon ooh'ing and ah'ing over the new little baby! His name is Cooper, and he's such a little cutie pie!
Today we're having my family and Mike's family over for a little BBQ. It should be pretty casual and relaxing. We'll probably take my niece for a little walk to see fireworks. From our house, we can see the LegoLand fireworks, but if we walk down the street a bit, we should be able to peek out over the lagoon and see some more. I think I have Imax 2 scheduled for today, along with some Core Max. We bought a tiramisu cake for dessert, and I plan on indulging a bit! Speaking of which,I dropped a half-pound this week, and my body fat has gone down a bit. It's so odd b/c I wasn't trying to lose weight this week -- and it always seems to be that when I'm TRYING to lose weight, it doesn't happen, and then when I'm NOT trying, it does. Lesson learned! ;-)
BG -- Reading your post just now made me tear up! It's so true that we stress too much over stupid things like how we look, instead of appreciating all our bodies do for us. I'm just so relieved and happy that everything turned out to be fine yesterday! And how exciting that your new little nephew arrived safely! What's his name? If you had posted a picture of your boob, it probably would have fit right in with our new Melters theme -- LOL! Naw, I'm not a good dancer at all, but I sure like to do happy dances! I'm sort of a vegetarian; I'll eat chicken *occasionally* if someone else cooks it ;-), but otherwise I don't eat meat at all. You should definitely not stress if you don't get a workout in today. Enjoy that coffee with us "biddies"! ;-)
Deb -- Hope you're sleeping in this morning and enjoying the start of the holiday weekend!
Robin -- How nice that Tristan is there for the weekend and that you were able to have a nice dinner last night! Yes, we had a great time yesterday, and it was so nice to cuddle and smell the new little one, Cooper!
Kristi -- Welcome back, welcome back! We've missed you, but I'm so glad to hear that you had a great time! Did Katie and Haleigh enjoy their first visit to Chicago? Oh, that's awful about the TP'ing! Teenagers! Oh, and thank you so much for that lovely card! Did you make it?? I'm so impressed -- it's just gorgeous!!
Shannon -- Hope you have a great time with family today! Robin is so right -- we all admire you so much for your sane approach to health and fitness!
Jennifer -- It was nice to "see" you yesterday! Glad you're doing well!
Peggie -- Yes, I agree with BreckGirl that you need to get caught up on your sleep!
Shelley -- Hooray for doing SZ today! The first time I did it, I ended up taking off my weighted gloves since they made my shoulder bother me, so I hadn't been using them. The other day, I got the gloves out again when I did SZ, and it made such a huge difference. Ah, Chris' massages sound so nice!

It's funny that you and Tneah were talking about massages b/c I was thinking of getting Mike a gift certificate for a couple of massages for his b-day.
Tneah -- I'm getting such a nice image of you having that nice glass of vino, sitting on the deck of your boat last night. Sigh. Sorry that the steering wheel broke. :-( How fun that you'll be getting a bike! We have beach cruisers from when we had our condo down at the beach, and I loved zipping around on them. I miss living as close to the beach as we used to. Oh, and I didn't get your message in time to give Mr. Trainer a big kick, but I'll be sure to do so next time. ;-) Hey, any news on the photos from Florida??
Lainie -- How exciting that the patio is done in time for your BBQ today! I hope you have a blast!
Allison -- Gosh, babe, I am just so darn happy that you're doing so well and are enjoying time with your new beau! I'm sorry that the family drama is still going on, but it's nice that you're able to detach a bit. Sorry that the nieces were a bit exhausting. LOL about your comment about them being good birth control. When I was in college, I worked on a labor and delivery ward of a hospital, doing data entry. When I went in early on weekends, I'd call my parents, and they could hear the screaming in the background. My dad once said that it was probably the best form of birth control ever. :+ I've always wondered if that somehow informed my decision to not have kids . . . . ;-)
ETA: Wow -- lots of lovely lady Melters posting in the time I took to type my message! Like Robin, I love the idea of Tneah looking like the HAWT lovely lady on her pink bike! And Shannon -- what a wonderful way to start the day! Allie -- You poor thing! Instead of chugging that coffee, can you go back to bed for a little bit longer so you'll maybe feel up to the picnic??
Love to all my melty gals!
