Happy Friday the 13th...

The only thing I'm really surperstitious about, and I know it's crazy, is walking under ladders. I've always felt weird about it. Years ago, a girl friend and I decided to head to the beach for a Sunday outing. We went to a store before leaving town to pick up some beverages and snacks. When we left, we walked right under a ladder in front of the store. I even made a comment about it. We left, she drove, and the minute we got to the beach, some guy ran a stop sign, smashing and totally her vintage Karmen Gia. That was years ago, and I can tell you, I have NEVER walked under a ladder since.

I know, it's not in the least bit logical, but I just can't help it.
 
Superstitions have nothing to do with logic, that's for sure. For instance, if I have anything good planned, I won't tell a sole, until it's absolutely final, or until I've already did it, because I think I'll curse it, especially if I tell my MIL. It's like she has a hex on us most of the time.

Strange things happen, and who knows maybe there's a bit of truth to some of those old wives tales.

I'm not superstitious. I LOVE this day! My son was born 17 years ago today. Not only was it Friday the 13th, but it was Good Friday that year too. I had a little Easter bunny of my own.

Carrie- So, why is this a lucky day for you?

Carolyn- I am another Friday the 13th baby! It has always been a lucky number & day for me. My b-day is in May though & I'll be 30 this year...
