Hand weight/dumbbell set with rack

I would love to buy a hand weight set with a rack for my workout room. I currently have the Weider Core adjustable dumbbells but find them bulky and noisy when doing some of the workouts. I wish Cathe sold the ones shown in her workouts on her site! Does anyone know what brand these are or can anyone recommend some to me that they like?

Good luck finding a similar rack; I hope you do! About a dozen years ago I saw Cathe's rack on STS and searched all over, without success. I ended up taking screenshots of the rack and then noted some modifications and had a machine shop make me one. I have custom "pockets" for loops, bands, gloves, etc. and a "secret" inside storage area so the middle area isn't wasted. It holds my kettlebell on the bottom and on the upper shelf I have a jump rope, dixie cups, discs, notebook, etc. I also have hooks for my tubes and body bar. I then got it powder coated (painted so it doesn't chip).

If you are able to do that, it may be an idea. Warning: a custom one-off item may be really expensive. But for me, it was very much worth it. In fact, I liked it so much I then made a custom barbell holder that holds a straight barbell, curved barbell, all of the plates and also my high step and extra risers. With a shelf to hold odds-n-ends (ankle weights, weight vest, yoga blocks and straps...)

What kind of company or person did this for you? I would be willing to pay to have something similar. I tried buying a rack from Walmart and also Sam's Club but they had a horrible smell and returned them. So mine are sitting on the floor. I have hooks in my walls for loops and bands. I also used 2 different car cargo nets attached in 2 different corners of my room for by 2 different stability balls. I just need something for my dumbbells because I have everything else out of the way.

My husband bought one for me from Amazon, about $100. I love it, although it's not like what Cathe has. Mine has a place for my foam rollers, dumbbells, all of my bands, tubing, mat...pretty much everything. I'm not sure if it's ok to post a link for it here? I never know for sure if that's allowed.

Yes you can post a link here. I've done it and I know many others have. Did the one you get have a chemical smell to it? I really need something to get my dumbbells off the floor. Thanks.

I have two racks and got both of them from Amazon. One is smaller and holds light weights, the other is larger and holds my heavier weights. You can google weight racks on Amazon and you should have several choices. Hope you find something!!

I drew it up on the correct/desired software (or you could use an engineering company or a CAD drawer, or something similar) and gave the drawing to a machine shop to build. I had 3 racks created and this was about a dozen years ago; I am sure software and options have changed since then.

Also - I have since had more "pockets" 3-D printed and attached to 1 of the racks for more storage. This wasn't an option when I 1st had it made. Perhaps a 3-D shop could be used as an option.

And...no smell! I forgot to mention that in my first post - so many options smelled when I was first looking.

What a great idea! My brother is a welder but I just never thought of that! If you don't mind, would you post a picture? Thanks so much!
