Hello Haters.

Thank GOD, it's Friday and we're getting rain again. My vacation starts next week. I'm getting weirdos from Match.com, should I be surprised? No. The only sad note is that a friend of my parents passed away from cancer yesterday. Early morning meeting about changes in our health insurance.
Seville and Madrid bought me a love gift this morning-a dead mouse. Sometimes, the mice are alive but not today. They know they're great hunters and I love them cause I praise them for it. Ok, so they can't be me descent man? Life goes on.

Hey haters, wanted to stop by and say hello since I didn't stop by last night. I finally agreed to meet him for a drink last night so after work I worked out from 4:30-6 then swept the house, showered, changed and took off to meet him at 7. Got home about 9:30 then had a bunch of stuff to do, including eating my cereal aka dinner. We had a good time, seems very nice so we'll see. If nothing else I think we'll get along great, have a lot in common and both of us are very independent, he is 10 or 11 years older than me but doesn't look it, owned his business for 15 years so seems to be stable.

Okay, off to work, I am so tired- when I don't get home until 10 like that it takes me forever to wind down and get tired so it was about midnight before I fell asleep. I may leave work about 3:30 today, come home work out, shower, and play on the computer until I get sleepy and hit the sack early tonight.

Okay, promise to be back & less self absorbed tonight, SORRY! x(

Hey there!

I just sent the birthday boy off to work. He has an absolutely horrid day ahead of him so, feeling sorry for him , I made him his favorite breakfast sandwich and put his favorite Chocolove bar http://www.chocolove.com/toffee.htm in his lunch box.

We're going out to dinner to celebrate tomorrow night, and again on Sunday with his parents, so I may not be making a special cake for him after all.

JENNIFER - My kitty was never happier than when we had a little mouse problem. I remember waking up one morning and finding a dead mouse on the floor on my side of the bed. I'm sure it's because Johnny loves me more than DH :7

I'm sorry about the weirdos. I'm sure there's a decent guy out there somewhere and it'll be his lucky day when he finds you

JEN - I'm so glad you met that guy for a drink! Is this the same guy who owns a gym? Man, you should go have a look at it and impress him with your amazing strength :7!!

I'm frankly really enjoying all this dating talk. I am also glad I'm not out there anymore. I'm an old fashioned girl and I don't think I could cut it in today's dating market

Jennifer - before I met my DH I was always attracting weirdos. Didn't matter where I went or who I was with, the looneys would always approach me. My friends always thought it was hilarious. I can only imagine if I was single and trying the online dating thing. One a better note, a girl in my office, her son met his wife on match.com. She is a RN and he is a police officer. Maybe you need to weed out the weirdos before you meet a good guy. Lucky you getting a dead mouse this morning. YUCK!!!!

Jen - so you and this guy met last night? That is good that he is independent. I don't know about you, but one thing that would drive me absolutely nuts is a clingly guy. Did you make plans to get together again?

Michele - I am so happy that you don't have to go to the cottage. What a relief! I'm sure you'll have a better time staying at home! Where are you guys going for dinner tonight? Thank you for being so concerned about my stress level here at work. I am definitely taking a day off in the beginning of October. There is a craft show that I like to go to and it is less crowded on a Friday (it runs all weekend). I will definitely keep Nancy in my prayers. I hope that all the cancer is gone. How scary. I think I've told you this before but a girl that I used to be really good friends with had both of her breasts removed at age 31. I talk to her every once in a while but she is still smoking. It blows my mind. She tells me she doesn't smoke but a non-smoker can tell if you are a smoker, ya know. I'll also keep your sister in my prayers. How old are her boys? Has she gotten her own place yet? How'd the deskunking go? Everytime you say that I imagine you with black hair with a big old white stripe down the middle. You nut!

Robin - that is awesome that Greyor passed his hearing test. I can't believe he'll be a year old soon. I bet he is such a cutie. I haven't seen any current pictures.

So what is everyone doing this weekend? I have nothing going on (except for cleaning, oh JOY). My car is filthy so I want to get that cleaned. It is covered in dog hair. Gabe was supposed to have a soccer game but it is postponed. This morning he told me that he thinks he has heart disease. Why you ask??? Because he ate scrambled eggs for breakfast. Then he told me that his chest was burning due to the heart disease. Good Lord is he dramatic!!!


Well my lunch is up so I better scat!

I feel bad for my DH but I have to admit that I am relieved we're not going to the MMGHH again

Oh boy -- I LOVE craft shows . What an excellent reason to take off work, and something really fun to look forward to. I'm excited about a big antique show in October. It's a fund raising event and I never miss it. I can't afford anything but I really love to look...and dream.

Thanks for the prayers for Nancy and my sister -- they can both use it. Nancy doesn't smoke -- in fact, she's the very epitome of clean living. It's hard to understand how anyone can smoke these days, much less someone with cancer.

My sister's boys are 23 which blows me away;( . She's worked out some deal to keep her house, thank goodness.

That's just about right, except that my hair is dark brown with highlights. I'm about 80% gray so I have gray roots;( , and I'll be coloring my hair until they lay me out in my casket

We're having dinner with DH's parents Saturday night at a little French bistro. Sunday night DH and I are going out alone to this place http://www.mccormickandschmicks.com/. It just opened up and we've never been there. DH loves seafood so he wants to try it. I have an absolute aversion to seafood, except for canned tuna, so I was happy to see a few meat choices on the menu.

ROBIN - OMG I think I missed your post about Greyor's hearing test results! I'm so relieved that his hearing is okay!

I have to run some errands and then I'm going to settle in with my book. I'm reading the HP books (I promised my DN I would read them) and I'm really enjoying them. Talk about a total escape! It's just what the doctor ordered. If I don't make it back here today I hope you all have a fantastic evening. I'll see y'all tomorrow -- or maybe not. It depends on what DH wants to do during the day. There's a chance I won't be back until Monday, so in that case, enjoy your weekend and I'll see you whenever:7 :* :*

Hey Jennie- Chad is his name- I actually agreed against my better judgement to meet him at nine thirty for a movie- not sure which one, he had a work appointment from 7-9 so meeting him there... so much for my quiet night- worked out, showered, ate, shopped, now home and getting ready to leave again! So, what does this guy do that you are meeting up with tomorrow night??

Michele- I think you asked what he did... he doesn't actually own a gym but close- he owns a personal training business so he basically has a "small gym" I guess you can say, he said he's had the business for 15 years so seems to be doing well. I am praying for your sister and sons and your DN still... hang in there, you'll all get through this!

Okay, guess I better run before I'm late, luckily it's only about 5 min from here and traffic is this town is nothing except for around Christmas!

Jen, nine thirty is way to late for me during the week. The guy I'm meeting, his name is Chris. We're going to AppleBee's for dinner. I never let anyone come pick me up at my place. I always meet them where ever we're going to meet. I feel safer that way.
