Gym once a week?

Hello Cathe,

Your workouts are making me a better healthier person. Thank you.

I've been thinking about working a full body gym day once a week into my routines. (cardio 6 days a week, weight training 3 days a week, one full body, then one upper and one lower) I'm learning to confuse my body completly, so I get the most out of my workouts. Seems (at the gym) that on the machines, I can handle more poundage (especially the legs). Is that because the balance factor is out of it?

It surprises me how much more weight I can handle!

Would love to hear your comment on this.

Hi Janie! I think working one upper, one lower, and one full body day is a great weight training plan. Also, the fact that you are changing things up with different equipment and machines on your full body gym day will really enhance your program (both mentally and physically). By the way, you could even consider doing cardio 5 days instead of 6 days a week to give your more recovery time, if needed. Keep up the great work :)

Cathy,

Thank you for your most wanted and inspiring comment. What a treat for you to answer this.

Take care,

Janie
