GWF

Sorry if this has been hashed out before, but I only just figured out what GWF stood for. I tried to do a search but was unsuccessful. I did read through the thread from just a few days ago.

Here's my question. Can you use the GWF without having the online subscription? I may not be quite clear on what it does if this is a DUH! answer.

My goal is to figure out what calories I'm burning during the day/night. I really like this idea and would look to only use it for a few weeks at a time. I would like to then let dh use it since he's having a bit of issue with rehab (knee) and not being as active as he has been. I think getting a good idea of what he's burning per day/night would go a long way to helping him be successful.

Does GWF do what I'm looking for it to do? What am I missing?

I can go to the various sites but still don't feel that any one is really succinct in answering my questions.

Thanks for any input!

You have to have the subscription for the GWF. Is it worth the money ?, maybe. It's good to wear it and figure out your base line calorie burn. I think it's not as accurate as it claims to be.

Wearing a heart rate monitor is uncomfortable but would give you a decent view of your calorie burn.

The ifit device is a pedometer on steroids. It does not require a subscription but will not calculate your calorie burn properly when doing weight training to intense cardio.
