Guilty Pleasures check-in

Well, I'm really NOT wanting to post this. I've been a very bad girl this week.It all started last Sat night when I went out to dinner with my brothers and it just spirled down from there. On mon. I ate carmel peanut brittle ice cream. Come to think of it I that on tues too. Wed. was my birthday and I went into work only to leave with a chocolate cake and a coconut cake! Two women each bought me a cake and I couldn't hurt either of their feelings by not having a slice of each, could I;-)? Then, that night I went out dinner with my father. I had a healthy dinner, but then he had ordered me a cake(white on white) also. Well, they screwed up some of our dinner order so they gave us two cakes!! I had 4 cakes here at my house!! I gave a lot of it away, but i had to keep at least one piece. Mind you though that I didn't give away this cake until Fri. I had a piece every day. Yesterday, after i got home from junning my husband had a dairy queen blizzard waiting on me. I ate half. Today I ate the other half and my husband asked me to bake a cake of all things!! I took a bite off of each of my kids pieces and of course, I had to lick the bowl when I made the cake! So now I have a new eating goal to go with the new rotation I'm starting tomorrow. My goal is to eat no more than 1600 cal, 50gr or less from fat, 20gr fiber, and 50gr or more of protein. I'm not going to say I won't eat this or that, but rather budget it into my total daily calories. That seems more doable to me. Let's hope my new rotation is doable as well. Hope everyone's wek has went well!

A belated happy birthday Aimee! Wow, you were really put to the test this week. I think you did pretty well. At least you weren't sitting in front of the TV with four cakes surrounding you holding a big fork. Now that would be bad ;-) Your goals sound very good to me. I've always heard that anything under 1800 cal. your body goes into starvation mode but, I'm sure you know what you're doing. I'll be interested in your results. If it works, I just may adapt your caloric program.

The past couple of weeks, I've cut out dairy and red meat (including pork). I'm feeling better and my face looks better but, I gained 2.5 lbs! What is that about? I'm sure it has to do with the carbs that I've been eating. My goal this week is to get back to keeping track of my calories and fat grams. Maybe I'll find out where those 2.5 lbs came from.

Alli :-cool

Breakfast : Ben and Jerry's Chubby Hubby ice cream (1/2 cup)
Lunch ditto
Snack : ditto
Dinner : ditto

Yum.
Guilt level: 0 !!!
I am so premenstrual it's not even funny, so I just went ahead and ate the whole pint.
Oh, well, the rest of my week was great :)
(By the way , it's vanilla ice cream with swirls of fudge and peanut butter, with chocolate-covered-peanut-butter-filled pretzels interspersed throughout. Oh, my!)

Hey, Competition---you're not the only one!!

I am the same way---if I don't have a rotation pretty clearly set up for myself, my eating suffers also. I'd been planning to start my new rotation tomorrow too (well, it's today now!), and on Friday I was saying to my dh,"oh good, only 2 more days of being a pig till I can get healthy again." (I'd been pigging out for a week at this point.) He said "why wait till Monday?" At first I told him, "I HAVE to wait till Monday, cuz I always start my rotations on Monday and I always take my rest day on Sunday." But the more I thought about it, the more I thought he was right--so I started my rotation on Saturday, and I've been eating healthily for 2 whole days now. Thank goodness!

Your eating goals sound great. Are you going to use a journal to write down what you're eating? That helps me a lot. What is the rotation you're starting today? Inquiring minds.....

Best of luck to you in your new start!!! Keep us posted on your progress!

RE: Hey Debbie!!

It's good to know i'm not the only one:)! How's the new rotation going for you? I get on to dietwatch and record everything I eat and it breaks down everything for me in grams and percentages after I'm done. It even gives me smiley faces if I did good;-)! As for exercise, I'm starting a rotation that includes BM, CM, IM, MIS, CK, SW, and my two classes that I teach, which are Urban Rebounding and Body Pump. It should go something like this:
MON- BM
TUES- SW
WEDS- calsses
THURS- CK
FRI- CM
SAT-IM
SUN- REST
Then the next Mon. start ove with MIS
What do you think? Think it'll work? This will be my rotation for the next five weeks. Let me know if there's any tweaking ZI should do to it!

Aimee

Sounds good!!!

Aimee, your rotation looks like fun!! Right now I am doing the 6-pack as my rotation....but after 6 weeks of it, I'll be switching to a similar rotation as yours: BM, CK, CM, IM, MIS, MIC. I'm looking forward to switching to that rotation cuz I love circuit workouts lately.....the only ones I've got are BM, CM, and the circuit section of Power Circuit (which I realllly love, wish it were longer!!!)....do you know of any other butt-kickin circuit workouts?

So, are you a morning exerciser? Did you already do BM this morning???

Keep up the great work!
Debbie

RE: I wish I had MIC!!

Your line up sounds great too!! In answer to your question, NO, NO, NO, and NO! I'm am no morning exerciser;-)! The earliest I can exercise is 10:00am. I usually exercise around 2-3pm or at 6-7pm. Whichever my schedule allows for on that day! I just finished BM a little over and hour ago and guess what? I was able to go longer before getting tired and I was able to lift heavier!! The 6-pak works!!!

RE: DUH!

I just remembered that you asked about circut training videos. Sorry about that! Well.... I just(and when I say just I mean the UPS man just drove away) got CIA9903. It's a boot camp video and from what I understand it should be like circut training. I'll preview after my kid's soccer game tonight and post back and let you know!
