I agree with the recommendation to do the CTX Series. I was not able to do cardio for six months so when I did start back with cardio workouts I grabbed the CTX Series first.
1) The workouts are shorter but still intense.
2) You work every body part plus you have Leaner Legs and the Upper Body Split.
3) The series has variety built into it.
Like has already been suggested, start back with weight training useing light weights such as #3, #5, #8 dumb bells. You want to go slow to prevent really bad muscle soreness, which will only discourage you from moving forward. Same goes for leg work, start with using no added weight or only #5-#10 for squats and lunges. The weight of your own body will be more than enough of a workout until your muscles get better acclimated to exercise again.
I have been working out with the CTX Series for four weeks now, taking one rest day a week. However, during the first week back I exercised every other day so my body had time to rest and repair from the shock of doing cardio again. I'm feeling great, past the muscle soreness but I will stick with the CTX rotation for two more weeks before I start adding in longer workouts.
