OMG, I tried this stuff (fat free Oikos from Wal-Mart made by Stonyfield) and I will likely never go back to the regular stuff. It is so creamy and delicious. I guess now I know what everyone was raving about! Wow!:D

I'm with you!!! In fact, last month was the first time I'd ever had the opportunity to try Fage and I was so totally in love that I almost ate the entire cup in 3 spoonfuls!!! I was super excited when I saw WalMart carrying Oikos!!! YUM!

I'm with you ladies.... I also think the Greek yogurt is TERRIFIC tasting, and I LOVE the creamy texture. I do prefer Fage to Oikos though.... it's MUCH more creamy. Yum!!! :)

I'm another Fage fan!!

I love it mixed with chocolate protein powder.

I wonder if it would taste like ice cream frozen?
Has anyone tried it frozen?

Oh yeah...

I LOVE my Fage yogurt! I just found Oikos at Super Wal*mart but haven't tried it yet. I wish it were cheaper, but it's so worth it! Yum!

I have not tried making it at home myself. But there are some new frozen yogurt places popping up that use real yogurt and freeze it. It's much more tangy than the old TCBY stuff and lower in sugar. I think a small serving at the place by us is about 90 calories.

It is fabulous. http://www.redmangousa.com/

OK you enablers!!;) Looks like I'm going to have to check out this yogurt. I've been eating Dannon Lite & Fit but getting bored with it. I've seen Fage in the store so next time I'm going to try it.

You gals may make a fan out of me too. I've thought of trying it also but never have. Since I've heard all of you raves I guess I will try. Like the idea of adding the choc protein powder. Anyone add fruit?

I'll let you know what I think after I give it a whirl.....

Tami,

I know some have added honey and fruit to their Fage.
Or you could add agave sweetner (very similar to honey).

On it's own, I think it tastes kind of like sour cream. It would taste great on a potato!

My favorite add-ins to greek yogurt are raspberries and honey or honey and walnuts. Any kind of berries are great in this yogurt. I haven't tried any other type of fruit but I am sure it would be good.

I love blueberries and strawberries.

My favorite is to add in 1 Tablespoon of naturally more PB and mix really well. It's like a creamy PB treat!! I've tried adding protein powder, but didn't care for it as well.

I agree!! I love it, and it's soooo creamy and thick!

We have the Chobani brand here (Massachusetss, at Stop & Shop). It's a little cheaper and they sell it in bigger tubs too. It also comes in flavors, but I like the plain, fat-free , one . I mix it with 1or 2 tablespoons of SF/FF Pudding Mix (whatever flavor) and a dollop of fat free cool whip!!

I've also mixed it with crushed pineapple and cool whip. YUM!!

Yesterday I added some blueberry meusli and a banana. I like to add in any kind of cereal pretty much. I've also added in a trail mix with nuts and raisins.

I just ate some of that Greek yogurt with grapes for breakfast this morning! I know I am addicted to it, especially the honey one.

Hi I just tried the Chobani Greek yogurt for the first time this week...Thanks Chris.;) I must admit the first time I had it I wasn't too sure . But now I like it. I add blueberries and strawberries and even used it in a smoothie. Yum

Cynthia, great idea about adding chocolate protein powder! Very creative!

I add honey + a fruit to my Fage (the best brand, in my humble opinion, but I'll eat Oikos, too, if Fage is out of stock.) So far combos have included strawberry & honey, kiwi and honey (summery!), raspberries & honey and dried cranberries & honey. I also--for a treat--have been known to swirl in a spoonful of Nutella. YUM!

But it's good, good, stuff. You'll never want American style yogurt again after dipping a spoon in this rich, creamy, protein packed goodness!!

You're welcome! I can't take credit for the idea though. I got it from John Berardi's book "Precision Nutrition".
He recommends throwing some banana slices in with it for a bedtime snack. I like to savor the banana on the side:)

I just bought Cabot's Greek Style. It's delicious! I love to put frozen fruit in with mine. (I usually use blueberries.) It gives a nice crunch and as they melt it sweetens the yogurt a little!!!
