Greatest Inventions

I know a few weeks back I said that TIVO was the greatest but I bought a salad spinner last weekend and I LOVE IT!!!! It makes prep time so much faster for me.
What do all of you think is the greatest thing since sliced, whole wheat of course, bread? :) :D

HI LD -
I love EZ Pass! I think they may call it something different in different states. I love that I can just drive thru Thruway Toll Booths - and not have to dig for $ while traveling. But, you still get billed for it... I esp. love - that for NY'ers its linked to MASS., NH, and Maine - maybe some other northern states too.

ALicia:)

I love my salad spinner as well! (sure beats putting the lettuce in a kitchen towel and going outside to swirl it overhead, like a former roommate used to do...or maybe not, if you like the arm workout!)

I'd also nominate my new soymilk maker. I haven't even used it to make soy milk yet, but I have a tofu kit now, so I can make my own fresh tofu with it, and I've made several batches of raw nut milks (almond, macadamia, hemp nut, sesame seed) and each batch took less than 10 minutes from start to finish, including cleaning the machine (not including the soaking time for the seeds and nuts).

A food processor is also up there. I had mine for a while, but didn't start using it until this past summer, and I was amazed at how quickly I could whip up a batch or guacamole or hummus dip or moch 'chicken or the egg' salad.

Frankly, I'm pretty excited by my Napoleon Dynamite talking pen.

Nothing like hearing "You guys are retarded!" or "Feakin' idiot!" at an opportune moment in one of those painful corporate meetings I so often must endure.

Oven ready lasagna noodles are the bomb diggity.

For me, a great invention that is both fantastic and pure evil is the Blackberry.

Great because I can get my personal and work emails, day or night, so I am always in the loop.

Evil for the same exact reason....}(

I would but I'm busy chatting with babes online all day. jealous?

Hmmmmm...right now it's a toss-up between the iPod Nano and the Easy Walk dog harness. :)

Both are handy when I go out and walk my Liger. :p

I'm a huge fan of copy machines. And computers. I seriously can't imagine my life without them. Oh, and telephones too. And maybe electricity. And DVD players. Without the last two, think of all the Cathe I'd be missing out on!!!

Microwaves, fo' shizzle.

I gotta say my new front load washer and dryer .. (I know I am lame) ..SOOOO fast .. so efficient ...LOL... when we first got them we just sat and watched in amazement (entertained easily also) ..

.. now if they could just invent one that folded and put the clothes up afterwards ... :7

LOL!! Okay, I did the same thing too when we bought our front load washer and still find myself doing it every now and then even though we've had it for over a year! It's kind of relaxing I think....

And yes, if they invented something that folded clothes, I'd buy it without a second thought!
