Got My BOSU

Got my Bosu but don't know what to do with it. I am going to order the ab tape that they offer. ( I only have to pay S&H). So help, what do I do now. I am not liking it yet! Thanks.

I got one in February. I started using it, and then got sick and haven't gotten back to it. I have several DVDs that I ordered for it: two cardio with Rob Glick, one strength with Gay Gasper, and a yoga based one (I can't remember the instructor). One of the Rob Glick cardio workouts is 30 minutes, the other is 60. I've done the 30 minute workout, and found it to be a pretty intense 1/2 hour. I've also done the Gay Gasper DVD. It was pretty good.

I also ordered the Mindy Mylrea Explode/Keli Roberts Burn DVD. I've only done the abs from Keli's workout. Both of those workouts look like they'll be fun. Finally, I got a Stott Pilates tape for the Bosu and enjoyed it.

I got my Bosu in part because of posts on this forum about doing Cathe's ab work (like from C&W) on the Bosu. I'm hoping to try that soon. I've just been getting back to Cathe's strength and cardio over the last week, I hope to work the Bosu back in in the next few weeks.

BTW, you can always use it while you do other strentgth work, for instance, squats on the Bosu, or stand on it while doing upper body work.

I would get some BOSU DVD's to get started as Lisa suggested. Maybe I lack creativity, but now that I've seen the BOSU used, I can figure out how to use it with non-BOSU workouts.

I like the Mindy/Kelli Roberts DVD a lot. Kelli's workout is a great intro to the BOSU while Mindy's workout is tough. I also have one by Candace Copeland Brooks. It's good, but I regret that I didn't get one with pilates & yoga moves demonstrated, I think that's Jay Blahnik's.

Actually what you order depends on what you want to use it for. I think mine will be used more for balance & core work, rather than cardio or strength work.
