Google Earth

Hello.
Has anyone tried Google Earth yet? I downloaded it and seen my old house in the Detroit area. My new home didn't come out as well here in West MI, but the old one is right on the border with Canada.
It's a lot of fun and educational while to nurse those DOMS.

Have a Great Weekend!

Google Earth is way cool. My husband is more into than I am. He only down loaded the less expensive version. I think there's one that's quite expensive.

Susan,
The pro version is at $400 and the plus is at $20 per year. What is good about it, I think you can download the satelite pictures then email them to friends.
Right now, they aren't offering any free trial versions of plus or pro.
It's fun and different.

Susan,
You can download the satelite pictures on the free Google Earth too.

The Pro Version make it easier for mapping and has more areas with a more detailed view.

My parents are at Mayo-Rochester and I sent them a picture of their house in Northern MI. My brother, who is a teacher and had gotten a grant to learn Info.Tech for his school district was even impressed with it. Plus, I finally seen my sister's neighborhood in upstate New York.
Yes, I was told the pro version was even better than the plus. It's better to download with DSL or cable.

We're loving Google Earth!! I was poking around with it a couple of weeks ago checking out our old neighbourhood north of Toronto. I was amazed at how far north the developments have sprawled and was even able to get a good look at the new church our old parish built. So cool!!:)

Laurie,
I was poking around Toronto too on Google Earth and saw ALL the mini film clips of lot of the areas/neighbourhoods surrounding the city like Kensington Market, Liberty, etc.. It was fun that they thought to do that. I miss visiting there, I used to visit all the time when I was a kid growing up in Detroit.

Jennifer, I'll have to check those clips out:) With a little help (a lot actually;)) from technology, the world is truly becoming a global village.

Take Care
Laurie:)
