Going Anaerobic

Do you think because Anaerobic involves more intense adrenalin pumping that it is acid forming in the body, producing Lactic acid? How does the lactic acid produced leave the body? Just curious if it can make digestive isssues worse than aerobic. Thanks in advance.

Anaerobic work lasting more than 20 seconds or so, will use (primarily) the glycolysis system for fuel. This system has a side effect of excess lactic acid and the body will use this lactic acid for fuel. Most of it is oxydized and the rest is converted to glucose (sugar) and/or amino acids.
As the intensity of the exercise decreases, the lactic acid will dissipate. There's a theory that says that the more fit you become, the better your body will be at removing lactic acid.

Hope that helps :)
