So here's what I'm thinking - the number of medals a country receives in the Olympics should be considered in the context of its population. For instance, at this moment the United States has 36 medals in the Winter Olympics (only 9 of which are gold). Canada currently has 25 (13 of which are gold!). Canada has one tenth the population of the States. So really, if you were to equalize for population, Canada has the equivalent of 250 medals in comparison to the States' mere 36 medals. Just sayin', y'all...
WOW!!!!!! That was an awesome game!! Edge of the seat! I can't believe Team USA got a goal at 25secs left! Amazing! Fabulous game! I look forward to 2014, when we'll no doubt meet again!
Congratulations to the U.S. team as well, for coming back from a 2-0 deficit to make it such an exciting game. The U.S. team, at the beginning of the tournament, was considered a long-shot "rebuilding" team.
And I turned the TV off with 2:06 to go in the third period, thinking Canada had it in the bag.
