Go ahead, knock yourself out...

Okay, I tried. I was walking out of our bedroom, realized I forgot something and turned too quickly. WHAM! Right into the door frame with the side of my head. I actually saw stars - didn't hear the little birdies though. :+

So, I have this wonderful bump right underneath my hairline by my bangs (just big enough to show - lovely). Besides ice, is there anything I can do? I've been icing it, and I think I'll be living on ibuprophren as that really dulled the ache, but holy cow, I can't even move my eyebrows without wanting to sink to my knees.

On the plus side, DH feels sorry for me and is making dinner...

So sorry! I once was beat up by my closet door. Are you bruised? I would keep your head elevated (he he!) It should start feeling better in 2-3 days. Until then, play it up and maybe you can get dinner cooked for you tomorrow too?

Christine...OOWWWW!!!! I actually walked right into the bedroom door one time hitting my head, so I can relate to the stars. Icing is a good thing and the ibuprofen will help the headache. No more moving the eyebrows for awhile....sorry and I hope the bump goes away soon.

I keep homeopathic remedy Arnica on hand for closed head injuries and other trauma. Can't swear it works~ but my primary care doc is a classically trained homeopath from Germany as well as Family Practice so I guess I believe a little.

Thanks everyone! I managed an easy workout this morning (on my bike on the trainer - something I could not fall off of!). I'm feeling better, but the ole noggin will be sore for a bit. Washing and styling my hair will be my biggest challenge. As my DH would say - I have a hard head, so I should be fine. :+

I am laughing at you right now...ONLY BECAUSE I seem to do this more often than your average girl ;)

Just ice and take the ibuprofen. There's really nothing else you can do. Oh yes, let your DH wait on you hand and foot for a few days ;)
