Glove Sizes

SNM: Can you indicate what S-M-L translate to, roughly, in your glove sizes. Is large a man's size? What approximate glove size might these translate to? I ordered medium, but I want to ensure they are not too small, as I'm 5'8". Thank you!

I bought the Cathe weighted gloves from Big 5 Sporting Goods a couple of weeks ago and the box says "one size fits most". No mention of S-M-L. I have medium small (hope that makes sense) hands and they fit fine.

I think we are talking about fitness gloves, they come in 3 sizes. Weighted gloves only come in one size.

I have small hands (not tiny) and I ordered the small fitness gloves. They fit fine.
What do I consider a small hand (since it's all relative :p):
I measured my hand to hopefully help you out.

From the bottom of my palm to the tips of my middle finger is 6".
My middle finger is about 2-1/2" long.
If I measure around the largest part of my palm (like I was measuring my hips) it is 7".

I hope that helps some. I can't tell you how much bigger the mediums are over the small, but if your hands are a bit bigger then mine you probably want a medium.

That was really thoughtful of you to do that. I had already ordered the medium size this morning and based on your measurements, that should be just right for me. Thank you!

Well, I got my medium gloves. The fit through the palm/back but the fingers are a little tight feeling. I presume they will loosen up. My main "issue" however, is these are NOT gloves designed for weight lifting (I'm not really sure what they would be appropriate for, honestly). The tag says "cardio" gloves. They have absolutely no padding on the palm, so by the end of the workout my hands were starting to hurt.
In the STS video, everyone was wearing weighted gloves, and some looked like they had padded palms. That's not what's for sale on the website, however, so I'm very disappointed that I won't be able to use the micro-load gloves for actual weight lifting (I'm not a fan of blisters or slipping 20 pound dumbbells over my face). Now I will need to go buy additional gloves elsewhere. Needless to say, this is definitely a disappointing purchase, as it is atypical of Cathe products. :-(

I am sorry they aren't what you were looking for. I personally have a pair that is much more padded then these and when I used these I actually liked having less padding and more "sensitivity" to the weights. These are also more breathable and seem to have more grip then my others.

You do bring up a good point though. For those looking for a lot of padding and cushioning, these may not be the gloves for you. Personally I like them.

The only downside for me was they don't velcro on and off and take a little more effort to take off then my others. (but not as much as I would have thought since my hands don't sweat in them as much and I don't have as much "sticking" as the others )
