Run, Lock your doors and shut your curtains. And please whatever you don't answer the door, They're back!! Yup, it's that time of year again where the cute little girls come around and sell our favorite cookies. Sigh! I helped this particular little girl get to her 100 box mark, woops! Now, I just have to get dh to bring them to work with him when they come. Ha, ha!

Oh man, don't even mention those things. I can sit and eat a whole sleeve of those peanut butter sandwiches or the shortbreads. I haven't bought any for about 2 years now. Man I love those things.

I'm gonna hide my hubby so they can't find him!!

Last year I went to open the freezer and found it stuffed with boxes of those mint chocolate ones. He likes to eat them frozen. He knew he would get yelled at, but I guess it was worth it to him! x(

Mmmmm, those coconut ones drizzled with chocolate are awesome! And the mint ones are soooo goood with coffee. Maybe I can buy some for my SO and just smell them when he eats them....yeah right!

I used to LOVE the mint ones when I was a kid (and a girl scout). The boxes were bigger, and only cost 50 cents at the time (shows you how long ago that was). The last time I read the ingredients list of the mint cookies (which aren't vegan, so not for me anymore), and some others, I was appauled at the amount of fat in them. It was something like 60%. (you could get a similar experience by melting some dark chocolat chips in the microwave, adding some peppermint extract, and dipping graham crackers in the mix).

I know... I got three boxes to help this little girl who lives down our street, and when I was filling out the form I thought three boxes were too few to help the Girl Scouts. Now I don't know what to do with them once I get them. I know that once they sit in the pantry, they'll be calling out my name.:)

I just bought 7 boxes from my friend's daughter. I'm going to freeze them though b/c otherwise they'll be gone in a week.

Yup, my neighbors little girls sell them and I bought some last year for everyone else to eat..o.k., I had one or two. :9
Thanks for reminding me...maybe they will forget us this year...lets hope so.

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, I've already had my fill of them!! I work for an advertising agency. In the past we have put up advertising for them as a public service. Needless to say the first week of January every year they send a big box with every kind of girl scout cookie imaginable to my office as a reminder that it is time to start advertising again.

Luckily no one at my office has any daughters that sells these here. I would probably be powerless.

Ok,if any of you are ice cream fans you might not want to hear this temptation but,Edy's( i think its called dryers out west ) has girlscout cookie flavored ice creams that are Awesome!! they have light ice cream versions of the thin mint and the tagalongs and they are so good but if your feeling like going for a big splurge they have the thin mint regular that's really chocolatey mint ice cream with pieces of the thin mint cookies mixed in ,i only get it about once a month ( yes about that time LOL !) and it is sooo.... good .Sorry to tempt you guys but if you like ice cream they sure are worth a try

They're back!!! Those darn little girl scouts with their innocent smiling faces armed with those not so innocent killer boxes of girl scout cookies. I love those cookies and can't say no to little kids and so its a profit for the girlscouts and you know what for me. I always dread the return of girlscout cookie season.
