Gin Miller videos

Hey everyone, I am a big Cathe fan, but until the new videos come I thought I would check some others out. I did Gin Miller's Intense Moves :-wow :-wow yesterday, what a great cardio workout, the sweat was pouring off me. Just wondered if anyone else has tried her videos and are there others you've tried that are just as good? Amy Jo

Hi Amy Jo!

I used Gin Miller's videos exclusively until I discovered Cathe's. I still use the Intense Moves; I love it.

I have Extreme Step, and used to do it regularly. Mixed in with the cardio are pushups and one arm side lateral pushups. (I think that's what they are called.)I never mastered those one armed moves, so I substituted push ups. I liked that tape, but haven't done it since discovering Cathe. Gin's choreography was great for me, because it's simple and straightforward, but I got bored with it eventually. Cathe's choreography is varied and challenging, so I am concentrating so hard on the moves that time just flies by. Gin has a bit of weight work at the end, but after doing it once or twice, I found that it didn't interest me, so I didn't do it.

I also have Power Step, (I think that's the name of it). I would use this now on a day when I don't want to think about choreography.

Of the three, Intense Moves is my favorite and one that I will continue to include in my rotations. I do like Gin a lot, and wish she would make more videos. I've heard that she isn't going to, though.

Hope this helps.

Hi Amy Jo

I agree with Veronica on the video choices but I would also like to throw in a vote for Step Circuit Challenge! Although Gin and most of her crew uses the resistance tubing dumbbells are a perfect substitute. One of the guys uses dumbbells for the whole workout. I did it this way also and I used the heaviest weight I could manage while keeping good form. For about 5 weeks I used Gin's Step Circuit, Cathe's Circuit Max and different cardio/aerobic videos. I did circuit training 3 days, cardio for 3 days and I had one rest day thrown in. During those 5 weeks I lost several pounds and that wasn't my goal when I set up the rotation. I just thought that some circuit training would be fun, so I wrote up a rotation.

I have Aero Step and it seems a little easy to me but it could be fun. I need to give it another try though before I can really say. I wasn't in a cheery mood when I did this workout. My mind was elsewhere but I needed a distraction so I popped in Aero Step. It took me away from my troubles a little but I just couldn't give it my all.:(

Gin's a fun instructor and she gives great form pointers.

I also like Gin Miller and for whoever is interested... there is a website called http://www.musicgraveyard.com... It's great; go to the outlet area and you can get Gin Miller's Intense Moves video for only $4.99!!! A great bargain, cuz it's a good tape! You can also buy others for the same price; even some of the Firm videos, which are also good!
