Gilad - anyone do his videos?

Does anyone do Gilad workouts? I saw him yesterday on FitTV and I just thought, wow, I never hear of anyone doing his workouts. I've done them on FitTV before and he doesn't seem too bad.

I'm really just curious.

i like some of his newer w/o on fit tv. especially the ones w/kick boxing. they show an hr long one on sat. nights sometimes.

my mil and sil are big fans. i think cathe challenges me more though.

I really like Gilad, I have a few of his workout DVD's but agree that I like the newer one which would be Total Body Sculpt, Total Body Sculpt Plus (these are seen on FitTV). He has another one called Ultimate Body Sculpt that I really like.

I think he works me hard too, so I workout to both Cathe and Gilad.

He doesn't have the kind of music that Cathe does in her workouts but for him it's ok I still enjoy it. He does take time and do some form pointers and such to make sure you are doing them correctly.

Hope this helps :)

I have a couple of his older aerobic videos. One is with a step and one is without. The thing I like about his aerobics is that they are easy choreography. I don't have a single Cathe step video because they are all too complex for my two left feet. Even the ones people say are easy look too complex for me. I get frustrated easily and give up if I have to think too hard about what I should be doing. His easy style suits me well, although I imagine many people would consider them boring.

i like that about his style too. and also agree about the complex step moves. i use it more of, see how many steps i can get in 10,20,30 mins. or make it as high as possible for more of a challenge.

I like Gilad on my recovery days. He really is the one who introduced me to working out at home back in the 80's. I think he is great. Excellent form but I agree Cathe is way more challenging.

I had hours and hours of Gilad copied onto Video tapes from Eurobics about 20+ years ago and came across them all last year lurking in a cupboard, so I hooked up a VCR in the kitchen and gave them a go. They do stand the test of time, and he is good with his form pointers and challenging on the isolation, but I didn't like all stopping and starting with the ad breaks.

I bought his step dvd, which to start with I found to be very basic on the choreography but the cardio builds well to give a good workout. I've only used it a couple of times though as I now only do Cathe rotations that I've cobbled together from my personal dvd collection, and this is perfect for me, so I don't incorporate anything else at the moment.

I noticed from one of Cathe's posts after Hawaii that she said she'd met up with Gilad. Cool

I don't do them that much, but I don't do any video workout that much in the summer.

I do really like his workouts, especially the way of alternating segments of kickbox-like cardio and weight work.

IMO, he does a nice blend of functional fitness and traditional weights, and his form pointers are usually really spot-on. I also like that they workout on platforms, because it keeps everything in a space that's workable in my living room!

I had his earlier show DVDs, with the shorter workouts on, but they are annoying, because where the commercial breaks supposed to be, you are supposed to continue on with a move, and you never finish unless you pause the DVD.
The newer, longer workouts from his show are better, as are some of his more recent DVDs.
(And he's really nice to look at as well!).
I know the music is repetitive (the same music on each workout ) but for some reason, it doesn't bother me. Maybe because I just register it as an audio cue to workout, and it's music that is exclusive to his workouts.
