Gift ideas for a 7 year old boy?

I know - another post on this. But our friend ALWAYS thinks of our kids and gives them nice gifts. I struggle every year on what to get her son. She's into more educational toys. I would love to get him a good computer game or other game that is educational. Budget is under $50.00. Any one have any ideas?

I have a 7 year old nephew he likes any disney movie out or animated. He also likes leap frog and other video games. Any cute movie will do.

I vote for Blokus. It's a great strategy game for all ages.

ETA: Another idea that just came to mind - passes to the zoo or a local museum, planetarium, etc.

I would suggest something like Magnetix or K'nex where the kids can build whatever they like. It's fun and creative. My DS is almost 10 and still loves to play with that stuff. Legos are great too.

I recommend Legos also. I have three teenage boys who loved their Legos for many, many years. Two still play with them regularly. They last forever and have a lot of play value.
