Getting Strong. Building Health.

Today's plan is UB, and a full day of Mom care. I was thinking of an STS2, but I will look at CUB because it's what Tracy will probably be doing this week. I should order Killer Legs and TB Barbell. But I just ordered a new e-reader. Do you have one? I should slow my roll on purchases. Therefore, I took the inflatable SUP out of my Amazon cart.
I did my "come to Jesus" scale check this morning and was pleased. I've lost about 15 pounds since Mother's Day. I rejoined TheFastingMethod.com and have been getting back to healthy-for-me eating and regular workouts. Woop! Technically, I am back to my happy weight and clothes, but I will continue to work on my body composition to decrease visceral fat and increase muscle mass.
Slay the day, my friends!

I did not get UB done before mom's- I did BM2 cardio/blasts premix and added back and shoulders this morning. I will have to do more makeup work this week.
Sat 8-16 edit- I did a version of BM2 again for about 55 min.

What do you think about Cathe's weight on pullovers on the LMR2 TB download? She is using 2x25, right? EEK, I am nowhere close to that right now. She used 2x15 on the ball in BM2.

Hi there! I've only done LMR2-LBS once but I did like it and consider it a heavy leg workout too. I will likely sub it in for a leg workout on a rotation. Haven't been following the May rotation a lot because I have taken a few days off this past week for some hiking and beach going but hope to get back to it tomorrow.

I hope you enjoyed the happiest place on earth with your daughter Jody! I haven't been there in I don't know how long. I have never been to Disney World but hope to someday.

Front lunges are harder on the knees. Back lunges and static lunges are safer. :)

I'm so with you on the retirement question! I have a little less than 3 years. Are you still going to school Jody or did you finish?

Where are you going hiking? Do you ever track on Strava? I just saw a FB friend did the John Muir solo in 20 days. I enjoyed Disneyland, but am theme-parked out. School is done. Fitness this week will be??

How are you/everyone? I made some Cathe purchases- 2 DVDs (TB Barbell and Killer Legs), barbell pad, 2 pairs of weight lifting gloves, mini ball, and from Amazon, headbands and wrist bands. This week I have done an STS2 GSTB pm, Perfect 30 PP UB, and LB, and am prepping for NH Hike. My workouts are at least more consistent, if not mega-building mode.
When I get back, I am going to have to focus on my mom- I may even have to move in with her soon. I am struggling to imagine how that will work with my fitness and Cathe life. Have a great week. : D

Hi there! I'm sorry I haven't written in a bit. Been scrambling to get things done before Fall.

I do hikes locally around my area. Locally meaning driving a half hour or so to a state or county park that has hiking trails. We were practicing for a big hike we wanted to do sometime this month but a fire has been burning there since July 4th and it's still not under control.

I'm glad school is finished for you Jody! And Cathe has had some pretty good sales lately. I'm glad you could take advantage of them!

I finished the May rotation but certainly not all of the workouts in it! Yard max has taken place for some of them along with stair max. Will start the June rotation this week but it will be going out the window after the first 2 days because I'm taking a few more days off.

Jody, I'm so sorry about your mom. That is a lot to take on by yourself! Is assisted living out of the question? I learned recently that there are senior advisors out there who can provide options when our loved ones need more help. I may even be able to help find one in your area if you'd like. Let me know.

Have a great week everyone!

Hey! I was just here to post.
So, how did you like the PS? I haven't done that one too often. Good reminder about the new workout to download, I should do the same.
I didn't hit all my workout goals this week. But I did: Each of my Work Days had 10 to 12 K steps and 20 to 30 flights of stairs each day, and I added wall squats one day.
Tues PHA and a walk, kayak trip for about 2 hours of paddling*, Fri STS2 TSTB Ch and Ba only and PLYO HiiT2. Today is Saturday, and my intention was to finish TSTB, at least the legs. However, I am still in my pajamas at 3 pm, so RIP to my workout plans for today.
*Kayak trip was to see bioluminescence at Merritt Island, which is near Cape Canaveral. The paddling occurred at dark (duh, to see the bioluminescence) and was actually fairly strenuous. The bioluminescence was cool, if not overwhelming- but I am glad I went. There was also a SpaceX launch (not the recent manned launch) at 1130 pm. We watched from the balcony of the hotel. That was a really cool add-on to the trip. My older daughter joined me on the overnight trip.
Have a good week! What are your plans? I will likely do similar workouts as I've just posted here, minus the ass in pajamas all day.
Edit to add on that 1- These downloads have been the only way for me to start to give up my clutch on DVDs.
And, RAGE ROOM? I had never even heard of such a thing! That is crazy!
Nice!!
