Getting Married

I'm getting married next summer and I would like to start on my exercising now instead of later. Right now I'm working two jobs that keep me really busy. I'm trying to find a exercise schedule that fits my limited time right now to shape/tone up. This summer I will only have one job (due to being a teacher...yeah!) and will have more time to exercise. I'm looking for some aerobic and muscle routines that will do the trick for the big day. Please help!

Congrats on the upcoming nuptials!

Given your current schedule, I'd suggest investing in the Cross Train Express (CTX) series, and the Timesaver DVD from the Body Blast Series.

CTX includes 6 complete workouts, five of which contain a cardio and isolated upper body muscle strengthening component, and the sixth workout ("Leaner Legs") is entirely devoted to leg strengthening. Four of the workouts (including Leaner Legs) have ab / core training segments as well. All six workouts are about an hour long, and scheduling them is a no-brainer - just do one workout each day and rest on the seventh. Just make sure not to do Leaner Legs and the Power Circuit workouts on consecutive days, because Power Circuit also has leg barbell / dumbbell work.

The Timesaver DVD is a compilation of footage from cardio and strengthening workouts from the Body Blast Series, and contains five complete workouts with cardio and muscle conditioning segments, much like the CTX structure.

Get these two products (note that CTX is 2 DVDs and Timesaver is 1 DVD), and do CTX one week, Timesaver the next, CTX after that, and so on.

Hi! Congratulations on getting married :)

I personally wouldn't recommend the CTX series if you are new to exercising. It is quite advanced, and also very high impact--not something you want to get started exercising with!
The Timesaver DVD would be a good choice, but again, the cardio segments, although somewhat less intense than CTX contain some of Cathe's more complex choreography.
If you are completely new to exercising and want to start out with Cathe, you'd probably do well to pick up one of her DVDs that is geared toward the beginner/intermediate exerciser. Body Fusion might be a good start...
Really I'd suggest looking at the clips of some of Cathe's DVDs and seeing what you think.
Hope that helps,
Wendy

Thank you both! I have ordered both the CTX series and her Timesaver DVD. We'll see how it goes from here! I already have her Upper Body, Leaner Legs, and Muscle Max exercises so I'm excited to get some new Cathe workouts. Again thank you for your advice!
