Belinda! Oh do take care of you! Sorry your having such a hard time lately. No workouts for sure! Get well soon!

Sherry: so glad your itband is getting better. Sounds like the therapy is working out well.

Yesterday I did a run and Z workout. Oh I am feeling it today!
May have pulled a muscle in my right arm from catching my MIL yesterday before she fell off her bed though. :/

Up since 4 am so I am just plain exhausted today. Don't think I will be doing much other than house stuff so far.

Suppose to be going out tonight to see a band but I am just not up for it... :/ have to be back by 9 to give my MIL her meds anyway. Not feeling good about going out without someone here besides my Son either... Will see how things go.

Belinda - Now pneumonia? I hope you've rested this weekend! Good luck with the neurology appt this week.

Heidi - No wonder you don't have time - taking care of your MIL, too. Hope you were able to get some rest, too.

As for me, Friday was a cc meet, so lots of walking around the course. Saturday was a rest day. Today was dog walks in addition to household chores. And of course, PT exercises. Very happy with how it's feeling. Haven't tried running yet.

Finishing up for tonight, and relaxing for a bit, but heading to bed soon. Catch up with ya tomorrow.

My DD's is today! We may be going out to lunch or shopping or maybe a fall trail walk. :)

Ok so yesterday I did XT Bi/Tri with core 1. Then right out to work on the pool closing. Can
I just say that I am very sore today!!!! :) LOL!
Plan for today is work. Yup...even though it is a holiday I still have to work. :/

Off for more coffee! Stayed up late watching a movie called: World War Z. OI! Zombies are everywhere these days!

Today's plan - PT - that'll work the lower body good enough. Hard to get in dog walks on these evenings after work (not a holiday here) - it's getting dark earlier and earlier.

Today was Pedal Power timesaver #3. PHEW! Tough! Sweated buckets. LOL!

So off to shower and errands. Going to take it easy today from work. Went in yesterday...no day off for me either Sherry.

LOL! Sherry: Yeah what was I thinking! I am still sore! I don't like the fact not only is it getting darker quicker but we have to turn the clocks back. Just doesn't make sense to me...get up in the dark and then come home in the dark afternoons.

It's Wednesday already!

So, Monday night was PT - got that done.

Tuesday I did my PT at home, plus a dog walk (makes the pup happy!).

Tonight was PT as the clinic.

Tomorrow is another PT night at the clinic, but I'm supposed to try to find the time to get in a short run prior to see how everything holds together afterwards. that should be interesting - my cardio conditioning is shot.

Belinda - How'd the dr visit go? Hope there is some good news following it.

Heidi - Still sore from your weekend workout session?

Thanks everyone for all the good vibes and well wishes:D Means a lot to me! The doc appointment on Tuesday went well, still waiting for a report. I am still coughing and the bottom of my foot still feels numb. The pain is almost gone, I still have a little cramping in my foot. I think the cortisone shot has something to do with all my problems:eek: My foot feels numb ever since I had the shot!

I am so glad my husband was home (government shutdown) and took care of me for the last 2 weeks. What a sweetheart! He wouldn't let me do anything.

Yesterday DH and I went for a walk. Today I will do some yoga.

Sherry - how long do you have PT? At least you get your cardio in, right? Good job!

Heidi - good job with Pedal Power. How do you like Cathe's new workouts? What are your plans today.

Last night I did PT, but didn't get in a run before hand due to heavy traffic on the way home from work - barely got to PT on time.

Today is a dog walk and PT, and also a CC meet for the kids, so plenty of walking all around.

PT exercises are all strength and stretching - no cardio. Every time they loosen up the IT band more, I can feel the muscle weakness from atrophy - the IT band has been doing all the work. Embarrassing to say, but the hardest exercise I have is balancing on the left foot while bouncing a ball against a rebounder that is positioned 90* on the right - really works the whole left side - hip down to foot. That and clams, glute bridge, firewalkers in wide squat among other exercises. I am much more aware now how much I primarily use the right leg, and with these exercises the two sides are evening out.

Belinda - What a wonderful husband! So nice he took care of you while he was home! glad that they didn't find anything major. And hope that pneumonia is going away, too.

Heidi - Have you come up for air? What are your plans for the day?

Yesterday I did 30 min yoga and 10 min from 10 Minute Solution "Butt Lift". I still can't do any high impact workouts, still coughing.

Plan for today is...walking the dogs. Maybe 10 min Butt Lift?

Sherry - thanks and me too! Hope you feel better soon. Sounds like those stretches for your IT bands are helping.

Heidi - what are your plans today?

Hi ladies,

Back to report my workout: I did 10 Min Solution Butt Lift " Cardio Booty=10 min (kept the intensity low) + Upright Booty = 11 min. I also did Shape Pink Power Flat Abs " Pilates for Thighter Tummy = 10 min. That one was tough! I feel a little better, didn't do a lot....but better than nothing:)

Later I will go for a short walk.

Hi all!

Catching up - all I've done are dog walks and PT exercises. Trying not to complain, but they are getting a bit monotonous. I am craving some variety. On the bright side, the left side is getting stronger, so there is hope. I'd really like to be pushing more weight, not just body weight and bands.

Belinda - I bet you were ecstatic to do that bit of exercise! How were you feeling afterwards? Is the foot getting any better? How did it handle that yoga?

Heidi - What have you been up to? Getting in some wo's?

So, we're trying to get a patio poured. Guy thought he could squeeze us in last week because we're a small job, but ever since he picked up the deposit, all it's done is rain. Argh! Now all his jobs are getting behind, so not sure when we'll get it done. It's a mud pit out the back door.

Hi all!

Another round of PT tonight. Did really well - can definitely feel the strength coming back. Still don't like bouncing the ball on the rebounder while balancing on one leg - works the whole leg (hip to ankle) way too much. At this point, worse than the 10 paces of firewalkers.

Hi all!

1 mile easy tm run today to test out the legs - feeling ok now - we'll see how they are doing tomorrow. Also, long stretch and then PT work, which was a bit harder after the run.

We finally have a patio! Rain has held off for the past couple of days, so the guys were able to get the work done. So glad the mud pit out the back door is gone!

I am still here Sorry for not checking in, had nothing new to report. I saw my doc on Wednesday. Had another X- ray done from my chest, I am still coughing I was suppose to call him back on Friday to get the results, but totally forgotHe couldn't give my the results from the Neurologist, all their computers were down that day. He also put in a referral for an MRI for my foot, I will make an appointment next week.

Today I did 30 min interval training and did abs from Pink Power: Flat ABS "Turbo Charged Belly Toning = 10 min. Got a nice sweat!

Sherry - thanks for keeping this thread going. I will start a new rotation Monday, will post every day again. That is so cool you have a new patio. Enjoy! I am happy to be back. How is your PT going? Do you feel any relieve? It feels good to get a workout in;)

Heidi - how are you doing? What are your plans this weekend?


DH and I will go to the theater this evening, they playing a murder mystery.

Tomorrow we are going to DC. My son is taking his sister out for brunch for her b-day. Alesia's bday is on Halloween.

Thursday - PT, he had me run instead of bike, legs felt good, but really worked the lower calves and worked out some knots in the ITB that I just can't seem to roll out

Friday - just a dog walk and PT exercises at home

Saturday - kids had a cc meet this morning, so wasn't until just now that I was able to get in a dog walk, 1 mile run on the TM and PT exercises. Working hard on my stride - both foot placement and turnover, and I think it is helping a lot. So nice to be running again.

Belinda - Hope that the dr. can get you feeling better soon - in every way! Nice that you are able to do some wo's again - that has to help your mood lots. Enjoy the theater tonight and dinner with the family tomorrow!

Heidi - What have you had going on? Able to get any wo's in?

Gotta go get changed so DH and I can meet with some friends for dinner. Have a good one and catch you tomorrow.

I did 30 min Power Cardio! Getting ready to take the dogs for a short walk. Boy, it's cold outside:( Going to DC today.

The theater last night was amazing and funny. We laugh the entire time. We had a great time.

Yesterday I did my PT exercises and also lots of dog walking to keep the leg moving 'cause my ITB was bothering me. I'll talk to my therapist to figure out how to handle running.

They came yesterday to seal the patio, so if the weather holds, maybe we can get the yard cleaned up a bit before it gets too bad.

Belinda - Glad you enjoyed your weekend, and that you are back to exercising. I'm sure dinner last night was nice.

Heidi - Have you been staying up to watch the ballgames? This is definitely a bizarre series. I'm cheering for the Cards, tho I don't think that's your team. :)

Yesterday I got a call from my doc about the results on the chest x-ray, my chest is clear!:D I still coughing, but that is getting better too.

Yesterday I started Chris Freytag's 10 Pounds Slim down. I did Xtreme TB plus 10 min Gold Gym "Hip Melter Circuit" with Jennifer Garaldi. I bought that DVD a long time ago at Wal Mart. I am trying to go through all my dvd collection. Toss out the ones I don't like.

Sherry - maybe resting your IBT would help? I know it's hard not to exercise. How do you like your new Patio?

Heidi - how are you doing?
