Getting it done for May 2014!

Good morning,

The concert was fab:eek: I am so glad we went and saw Zuccero live. Been wanting to see him for years in Germany. We didn't get home until late last night. I didn't sleep well the night before. We also took the dogs with us, this way we didn't had to rush to get home. It's been raining nonstop here:confused: I am so sick of this weather. It's May 1? Where is the sun?

BTW, I decided to back off a little on the cardio. Too much isn't good if you trying to build muscles.

Sherry - can't believe you almost done with M1. Good job on D10. How is the extra leg workout working for you? My eating was off the last few day's too. Need to get better.

Heidi - fantastic job on your run and TRI Sets Upper. Funny you mention it, after AB on Monday…my butt was sore too? You are so good with getting your workouts in. Good for you. What rotation are you following? sorry if I ask that before.

Off to get more coffee. I will be back after my workout.

Good morning,

Yesterday I forgot to post my workout: I did LIC SCC and P90X3 Accelerator.

I will be back later.

Good evening,

Workouts are done. I did P90X3 Pilates and Low Impact Challenge.

Heidi and Sherry - Have a great workout today.

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in today. I will see you all in the morning.

Happy May!

Hi Sherry, Heidi, and Belinda!

Can you believe its May already? Everything is green and starting to bud out, but the leaves are so late this year. How is the weather by everyone? Here it goes in waves - mostly rain and a little cooler. Had to turn the heat back on in the house....grrr....

I forgot to check in last week...

I'm finishing up week 4 of M1. I won't lie - my drive to getting in better shape is dwindling. I have been really good at getting on MFP and recording my meals for most of the day except dinner. I went and got a different HRM as well because the one I had in the closet was giving some outrageous readings

Weight loss? At a stand still the last two weeks. I think my weight loss earlier was most likely water weight. I'm ok with that - but not ok with my lack of sticking to a better diet. I was trying to catch up on all of you girls progress and it sounds like you had talked about that recently as well. I came home tonight and DH was all like "I need to go on a diet". He weighed himself and topped out at the highest he has ever been. I should take advantage of his drive to eat better now, but instead I panicked and felt like I could no longer use him as a excuse to cheat! Isn't that horrible? lol

Anyway - I've got a slight dilemma in my STS plans that I would greatly appreciate some input on. Starting Monday (5th) I should be in my recovery week of STS. May 12th I should be starting M2. Unfortunately I have some vacation scheduled the 24th to the 29th which should be my third week of M2. What should I do? Should I immediately start M2 and just take my vacation week as recovery? Or just have a mini recovery that vacation week and just get back into STS where I left off? So confused.

I am so out of the loop - you girls are talking about X3 and I'm going "WTH is that?!" (Had to google it! So sad)

My workouts have basically been generically:
Mon: REST
Tue:Biceps, Chest, shoulders
Wed: HiiT + PIYO
Thurs: Triceps and Back
Fri: Cycle
Sat:LEGS
Sun: Cardio

Rock on girls and keep up the good work :)

Good Evening!

Rest day today - DD had a soccer game and just got home. Have I mentioned that the games start at 7:00, so that pretty much blows the whole night. Sooooo tired of cold, wind and rain. It's May, darn it! I shouldn't have to bundle up for a game! At least I had chicken going in the crockpot, so dinner was easy, and most importantly ready so we could shovel it down as we passed by the house.

Belinda - Glad you enjoyed the concert. So what does backing off the cardio mean? You're still following the Bodybuilding Rotation and P90X3, right? I'm doing ok with the extra leg day, though most have been the shortest timesaver. I'd really like longer, but time is the problem - never enough of it. I think I need more cardio, but prioritizing the weights, so, it is what it is. I've enjoyed M1, but I think I'll like the next 2 phases even more since I do like heavier weights.

Karen - I think with M2 we'll gain some momentum because that's where the growth starts. That's what I'm hoping anyway. I think you have a few options: 1) Start M2 right away, then use your vacation as a rest week. (can you cram the wo's into the shorter time period?) Might night give you the best benefit since less rest. 2) Pyramid down M1, meaning do week 3 again next week, etc., and use vacation as a rest week, then start m2 when you get back. 3) Use next week as a rest week, start M2, then pick up where you left off. Thinking about it, I think option 2 might give you the best results. As for eating, it's always a battle, but I do think I'm seeing a flatter stomach some days, which means something is happening, right? Keep it up! We'll get there.

Waving Hi to Heidi!

Bedtime - gotta crash. Catch ya tomorrow.

Good morning,

P90X Agility is done. We are switching P90X3 to mornings:D This way we can walk the dogs in the evening or do whatever we want to do.

Sherry - yes, I am still following both rotations, but too much cardio isn't good either, even Cathe told me not to overdue it on the cardio. Not more than 4 times and shorter workouts. If you trying to build muscles, too much cardio can back fire on you. Starting next week I will back off. When I do the 4DS, I will not do the cardio nor will I add more weight workouts. I get enough cardio with P90X3.

Karen - if you came back on the 29th, you still have 29,30 and 31 right? Or you double up on the 30th or 31? Or you can do what Sherry recommends:eek: Or you can cut your recovery week short, meaning take a few day's off and before you go on your mini vacation double up on M2 and do the other M2 workout on the 29, 30 or 31? I wouldn't worry about the cardio workouts, just try to get your weight workout in, JMO! If that would be me, I would double up on the end of May. Hope this makes sense, this way you don't have to much of a break.

Hallo Heidi!

I will be back later. Have a great day and workout, everyone.

Off to get workout 2 in before lunch. BBL!

Morning!

Yeah Friday at last!

This morning was:
XT legs standing portion only.

Then a TM run with progressive speed and light hills up to 7.5%. Light? LOL! Well mostly between 0-5% so not too bad. Total miles 3.30

Belinda: Oh great planning on going to the concert! Sounds like a great time. :)
Great job on your workouts too!
Have fun with your workout today!

I am following the LIS and XT rotation. It seems like one week you do mostly legs and then the next week is upper. Thrown in is lots of cardio. All good for me because I am trying to lean out rather than build up mucsles. Definition is great too!

Sherry and Karen: I am with you on the rain! Enough already! If it isn't snow then it is raining. :/

Sherry: Great job planning for dinner ahead..it makes it so much easier! Sorry about the cold rain and games taking so much time. It will all end soon! :)
I hope you can get in a workout later today.

Karen: Nice job on your workouts. What cycle workout did you do? :)
Oh MEN! LOL! I am going through the same thing here...;) It isn't fair when they decide to go on a better eating plan and exercise they get their weight down faster. Then of course they go back to the same ole bad eating and tempt us. LOL!
We have to be super strong and keep saying no NO Thank you! :) It is super hard for sure!

Well I better get moving into work. Make it a good one!
BBL

Hey girls,

Total Body Trisets LB is done!

Heidi - as always, great job on your workouts. Glad the rotation is perfect for you. Need to look that one up for the future. So many great rotations are out there and so little time:confused:

Waving Hi to Sherry and Karen.

See you all in the morning. Have a great day, everyone.

Hi all!

WO done - D11 and a 1 mile easy run, on the tm 'cause it's raining again. Had to get in the run, 'cause the kids have been craving pizza all week. Tomorrow is D12, and I'm done with M1. Always looking forward to a leg wo.

Belinda - Nice double wo's today. I'm sure you are getting more than enough cardio with P90X3, especially if you are doing the lean rotation, so cutting back a bit is definitely ok. I"m glad your DH move in the morning to get a workout in. Mine . . . well, not exactly a morning person. Though he does play soccer on Saturday mornings at 7 or 8, but then comes home and takes a nap afterwards. LOL!

Heidi - Nice - speed/hill run after a leg wo. That's gotta be leaning you out! I'm looking forward to seeing the results from one round of STS - don't mind building the muscle, as long as some fat goes away in the process.

Time to get ready for bed. Catch ya tomorrow.

ood afternoon,

I also went to our huge neighborhood's spring garage sale. I went yesterday and today Yesterday I found a brand new hand held steam cleaner kid/ mob set for $7 (she ask for $15) I only had $7 in cash. Today I bought a big brand new garbage can from Rubbermaid for $5 (the lady wanted $10) and I bought a rolling cart for my plant, it also was new. He ask for $3 but I talked him down or $1 Well not really, he couldn't break a $20 and I only had 0.80 cents in cash, so I got that for rolling cart for 80 cents I am already using my hand held steamer, it's amazing

Sherry - can't believe you almost done with M1! Have fun with D12 today. Enjoy that pizza:eek: I am doing P90X3 Lean rotation, like you said…I am getting enough cardio.

Hi Heidi!

Getting ready for P90X3 Yoga.

I will be back tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Good afternoon,

Turbo Fire 30 is done. Didn't feel like doing Low Impact Challenge again:(

What did you guys do today?

I will walk my dogs shortly and do P90X Triometrics. BBL!

Hey!

Workout this morning: XT chest, back and shoulders DONE!

Already feeling it this afternoon!

Belinda: Nice job on Turbo Fire! Still haven't checked that one out. :) What would you compare it too?

Sherry: Yeah awesome job on your rotation completion for STS M1! :)

Tomorrow is All out low impact HiiT!

Hello to Karen! :)

Have a grea one!

Heidi

Hi all!

Saturday I did complete D12, and thus M1. Very proud of myself.

Sunday was crazy from the crack of dawn until the end of the day, so no wo other than a dog walk. Also, food wasn't all that great, grabbing what we could when we could.

Today, a dog walk and then either a run or something light. This is recovery week, but also just a lot going on as we are winding up the school year.

Belinda - Love the deals you got at the garage sale! Are you back to evening P90X3 wo's? DH didn't like doing them in the morning before work?

Heidi - Nice job on the UB today. You aren't doing yard work tomorrow, are you?

Time to get dinner together - tamales, taquitas and tacos is our Mexican tonight. More carbs than I'd like, but considering the stress level of the kids right now . . .

BBL!

Good evening,

I also walked the dogs and did P90X Triometrics.

Sherry - congratulation on finishing M1! Enjoy your recovery week. Yesterday was my birthday, ate and drank to much crap:eek: Couldn't get out of bed on time, had a bad sugar rush:confused: Tomorrow we are starting P90X3 in the mornings.

Heidi - Turbo Fire are a mix of kickboxing and HiiT. Charlene has the best music in TF. And the workouts are a lot of fun. WTG, on XT chest, back and shoulders today.

Karen - did you finish M1 yet?

Good night, ladies!

Good morning!

Belinda - Happy Belated Birthday! Sounds like you enjoyed it!

Wo done last night - easy 2 mile run. Just couldn't get to computer to log it (darn kids and homework!).

Still gotta figure out today - maybe some stretching/yoga. DD has a game tonight, so time will be tight.

Catch ya later.

Good afternoon,

Athletic Training is done! Tonight I will do P90X The Warrior.

Thanks Sherry! Nicely done on that run last night. I went for a nice long walk with the dogs last night. Enjoy your recovery week.

Hi Heidi and Karen.

I will be back later today. If not, for sure tomorrow:D

Hi all!

WO report - last night nothing, just couldn't squeeze it in.

Tonight - need to get in a run, and probably on the tm because the cloudy skies and rolling thunder are rather foreboding. Tomorrow is another soccer game across town, so no wo, hence I better get in it tonight. I'm glad this is a rest week, but that can't be my excuse for not getting something in.

Belinda - Great job on all those wo's! You are doing fabulous, and I get looking quite fabulous also.

Waving Hi to Heidi and Karen!

Time to get dinner done quickly, then a few more things done before I can get in a wo. Hope you had a good one.

I did squeeze in a run - only a mile, but better than none. Kept it short because time was tight and I also wanted to get in a stretch - STS XStretch.

Good Night!
