Yes, I agree that the cardio ramp up on JMBR is harder and has more exercises per set. Non stop for sure.

Today is a rest day I think. Didn't sleep at all due to the heat.
Went to work early just to get cooled off.

To start off the month, I went a little easy - a short dog walk and Day 1 of a 30 day Glute challenge. Bodyweight only and already feeling the burn. This will be an interesting 30 days.

Kids spring sports officially done as of last night. DD's team lost in post-season play, so we're done. Finally, some breathing room . . . sort of.

Belinda - Hope you were able to get some rest after your wo's.

Heidi - Hope you sleep better tonight.

Sorry for not checking in yesterday. Yesterday we went and saw to the American vs. Germany soccer game in DC.

Came home just to find my lap dog locked into my bedroom the entire time we were at the game):mad: Make a long story short, he ripped up the entire carpet in front of the door:confused:. I guess, he tried to get out. He can not be along when thunder/lightning is outside. He gets scared really bad:mad: Now I have to replace the entire carpet, I doubt we can patch/match up the carpet by the front door. So this morning I have to go carpet shopping.

Sherry - more time for yourself:eek: Good for you.

Heidi - what are your plans today.

Belinda - I heard that was an awesome game! So jealous - we would have loved to go. Poor pup, and sorry about your carpet.

Well, I must have been sitting poorly while I was glued to the computer screen this weekend sorting thru photos in preparation for the soccer banquet - my IT bands are fried. Means tonight will definitely be stretching and rolling, plus Day 3 of the glute challenge. Yesterday did Day 2 plus dog walk. I did want to get in some upper body weight work, but the rolling may take priority.

Heidi - what are your plans this week?

Too bad on the game but a great relief for some time off I am sure.

Friday was a very busy workout day so no workout. Too tired anyway. Saturday was house stuff and guests so again no workout.
Yesterday I took a 4.5 mile walk with my DD. We haven't done that in a long..... time. :)
Really enjoyed that.

Today is more busy work so off I go. Hope to get in a 30 min. cycle and XT bi/tri later.

Went carpet shopping all day:mad: To replace the carpet in my bedroom is between $3000 and 4000 dollars:mad: That's a lot of money! We looked at Costco's carpets, someone will come this week to give us an estimate. I have a feeling it's not gonna be cheap. We shall see. I am also considering instead of putting carpet down, maybe wood floor? I personally don't like carpets, but if we do decided to sell our house in a few years...a lot of people like carpets:eek: There is a lot to think about.

I did JS and JMBR week 7, workout 7 today.

Thanks Heidi! And he was! I still feel bad, he was locked in my bedroom the entire time I was gone. I let the dogs run around free around the house when I am not at home. He isn't used to it. The other 2 dogs where fine. Unfortunately our Beagle didn't open the door:eek: (she can open every door in the house with her paws) why didn't she open the door for Brawler:p She would have saved me a lot of money. Or maybe she locked him in the bedroom, lol:p Nice job getting your workout in.

Dog walk and Day 3 of glute challenge complete. Legs thoroughly rolled - feeling better, but still a bit sore. No UBWO. :(

Belinda - Yikes! That is a lot for carpeting one room maybe you are doing more? I like hardwood. Would like to install that on the upper floor of our house, but still waiting. I think this year is tearing down the old deck and having a patio poured.

Sherry - sounds like you have a lot of renovation this year. I would love to have hardwood floors in our bedroom on the second level. We plan on selling the house in a few years (the house is to big just for us and we knew that when we bought the house). We need to figure out what would sell better. Believe it or not carpet turned out to be more expensive than hardwood floors:eek: Costco sells carpets too, they will come this week or next week.

Heidi - must be busy!

WO one for the day - dog walk plus Total Body Sculpting and finished with Glute Challenge Day 5 - 25 Bulgarian squats and 25 one-legged hip lifts. Wondering once again why I work out down in the basement - coming up the stairs is so hard afterwards!

Belinda - You should be beat! That's a lot to do in one day! I'm sure the variety complements each other. Can't believe the carpet costs that much! With a house, if it's not one thing, it's another.

Sherry - our bedroom is huge. Carpets are not cheap. I hear you on working out in the basement. Especially after a leg workout. Good job.

Hi Belinda! :) Great job yesterday on your workouts. Wow! You sure have quite the combo program going. I have only done #5 and cardio 2 of JMBR lately. I will have to check out the next couple workouts soon.

Did you get your carpet installed?

Monday was off due to work.
Yesterday I finally go in a cycle workout of 30min by JM. She kills me on those! You have to keep a fast pace and intervals on the hills. PHEW! Sweated buckets!

Today I plan on XT bi/tri. (workout planned for Monday) Trying to get back on track.... ;)

No wo yesterday - not even glute challenge - soccer team banquet took much longer than expected - we didn't get home 'til almost 10.

So made that my rest day. Today I plan a short run and a timesaver total body - not sure which one yet - plus the 90 squats and hip thrusts I didn't do yesterday.

Belinda - great wo plans. The floor will get done eventually, so try not to stress too much.

Heidi - what are your plans today? Trying to keep up with Belinda?

Belinda: Hope your head gets better! Hope you can get in your workout sometimes it helps to work out the headache. It helps me for sure!
We opted for all hardwood instead of carpets here. Makes a big difference on cleanup! LOL!

Sherry: Sounds like a great plan! Have fun! :)

Today I did a TM 30 min interval workout. Good workout and later I may add in legs. Just wasn't up for it this morning.

I am sore from yesterday. Mostly in my shoulder blades.. Weird! It was bi/tri not back. LOL!
