Getting it done for June!!

Hey Heidi, Karen and Sherry,

My back is about 90 % better.I just came back from 1.5 mile walk w/ the dogs. I will take it easy with my workouts this week. Like I mentioned before, my back is still bordering me. Later I will do some yoga/stretching (never did it yesterday, relaxed instead:confused:).

Sherry - glad you home again. Relax!

Karen - you got your tooth surgery today, right? Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Heidi - glad you your foot feels much better. Good job, with your run today. I need to get a run in next week.

Hey Sherry, Heidi, and Belinda!

TGIF!!! I hope everyone is having a good Friday! The weather here is really nice! Sunny and a slight breeze. Though it is a bit warm for me - got the AC on. :)

This morning I worked off some of my nervousness with Trisets Total Body Express premix. Got to the oral surgeon quarter to 9. They took my blood pressure and it was high! lol They chatted with me a bit to try to "relax" me and then took it again. Thankfully it went down to a number they felt was "acceptable". (just my luck that I would have to wait in anticipation another week! lol

The initial woman that was with me said it would be really easy since my teeth were out already - should take less than 30 minutes.... I didn't get out of there until after 10:30. The root(s) of my teeth kept breaking off when they were pulled! (Wendy - the OS - made a comment about my roots the previous week - so she called it.) You were all right - the pulling of the teeth really wasn't all that bad. Slight pressure, but I could probably do it again.... :p One of them really "cracked" loudly as it was being pulled. I had my ipod with me so I was just trying to focus on my music!

Had some jello, pudding, and rice for lunch and downed a ibuprofen. Doing alright. I think a piece of rice fell into one of my wisdom teeth holes! lol Gross I know. Sorry.

Heidi - Good job with your jog! What are your plans for the weekend?

Belinda - Wishing you another speedy 10% recovery on your back! I'm glad its getting better and not worse, thats a good thing! :)

Hi all!

TA - TGIF! It's been one heck of a week. Back in the office today, and trying to get things done like crazy since I was gone more than I expected. I ended the day with a feeling that I'm back on track, so can relax a bit this weekend.

WO done, too! Went for a run, 2.5 miles, after a dog walk and followed by Total Body Stretching. Despite the heat, feels good to have it done. Now, will grab some grub, then spend the evening at a friend's relaxing on the lake. :)

Belinda - so glad to hear your back is that much better. Walking and stretching is probably what you should stick with. Stay easy and I'm sure you'll be back at 100% quickly.

Karen - Piece of cake! Might be a bit swollen tomorrow, but stick with the ibuprofen and cold food. You'll be just fine! Haven't tried that author yet - another to add to the every growing must read list. 'Course, everyone else seems to be reading 50 Shades of Grey.

Heidi - How's the foot today after yesterday's jog? Hpe you can get back into running soon!

Finally getting some much needed downtime this weekend. Had to do errands and such yesterday, and it got hot before I had a chance to run, so getting ready to do that shortly. Then later we have a graduation party, and then going out with some friends for dinner.

Belinda - Sending healing vibes for your back! Please make it a light workout!

Karen - how's the post-teeth removal pain/swelling? Hope it's not too bad.

Heidi - How's your foot? Thinking about a run/jog today?

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Yesterday I took it easy. Did a little yard work, finished my book, and hung out with my boys. This morning I did PIYO 14. Then DH and I did some much needed cleaning inside. Now its time for school work - yucko!

Sherry - The pain isn't too bad - occasionally icing due to some swelling (look like a chipmunk!) - but seems to be going OK - thanks for asking.

Belinda - Enjoy some much needed rest!

Today was a quick workout for me. I did a short 25minute cycling workout with Mindy and I was soaked! I don't why I get to sweaty cycling! I need to do it more, thats for sure! :)

School is in full swing starting today. Joy. I'll try to keep up on the workouts and checkins, though they may be short winded. :)

quick check in for me: I started Cathe's June 2012 rotation today. I did 4DS High Intensity Step plus Chest/Back. I went a little lighter on the back. So far, my back is feeling fine:)

hi all!

this is quick - did P90x CB (only 1 round) and ARX tonight with DH. We'll see how long he stays with it.

tomorrow is a one day trip (they are starting to pick up - argh!) - we'll see if I get home in time to get in a run.

Belinda - glad your back is better.

Karen - short wo's are better than none. Are you still teaching over the summer?

Heidi - what do you have going on?

Today is a scheduled rest day, I will do tomorrow's workout today. Tomorrow we are taking DH to his doctor to Boltimore. I will do 4DS BC today. 

Sherry - when did you started P90X? How do you like it? I have the program, but never done it:confused: Good job! Safe travels tomorrow.

Heidi - what's on your tap today? What rotation are you doing this month?

I've still been taking it easy these last few days. I'm using my wisdom teeth as an excuse. I know, I shouldn't be making up excusing for taking it easy!

Last night I took our pup for a walk and then also did Rodney Yees Flexibility yoga. This morning I got in a quick 4DS Tricep and Bicep workout. I was fried! I love that series - gets you good in a short amount of time. :) Dh mentioned a bike ride tonight, if that does not happen I will try to add on a short yoga again.

Belinda - 4DS Bootcamp is a good one! Have fun!

Sherry - Good job with P90x. That is one that I do not have.... I am not teaching classes this summer (at least not right now). Focusing on my compressed summer classes instead before I promise a class to someone...

Hi all!

Run done! I did get home in time! 1 mile dog walk to warm up, 3 miles of interval sprints, and finished with a wonderful stretch. :D

Plus, I have just the right amount of DOMS in my pecs and abs to let me know that I worked them enough yesterday without overdoing it. :)

Belinda - Great weight work today. Glad you are healthy again. DH wanted to start P90X . . . again . . . because he needs to do some strength work in addition to playing soccer and running. I could have said "no duh!" when he decided that but instead said cheerfully that yes, I'd join him. So yesterday was Day 1. Not sure how long this last, but was happy to be doing weight work again! Have fun in Baltimore tomorrow!

Karen - 4DS is great - embrace those DOMS! And get off the teeth pulled excuse, woman - time to get back with it! Probably a good thing to not teach for the summer and focus on you.

Heidi - where are ya!

Morning Girls!

Today is already WEDS!?

Well Friday I spent the day washing curtains from the first floor and all the windows. Sat. was yard and house stuff. Sunday I washed all the screens and put back in the windows.
Well.....Monday I couldn't move! I strained my left hip from being bent to one side scrubbing the screens. I should have alternated..... :/

I went shopping with my aunts for baby shower gifts and could barely get in and out of the car. I felt older than all of them! EEK!
The shower gifts are for my niece who is expecting her 2nd child in July. ;)

Yesterday I did housework....Never ends! My hip is pretty bad so no real workouts to report since last week. I was going to do an upper yesterday but never got around to it. I know lame excuse... LOL!

Karen: I am glad that you mad it through the surgery and are back on your feet. ;) Nice job on 4DS!

Belinda: How are those DOMS today? Nice job too! :)

Sherry: How are things winding down for you? School out yet? :) Great job on your run and pec DOMS. :)

I hope you all have a great day and rest of week. I am not sure what I will get done at this rate but I am thinking of you all. :)

OK done with a TM 30 min walking program. Speed no higher than 4 and incline at 6. I did Stretch Max 1 after too. I really need to do more stretching tonight!

What are you all up to today?

Belinda: How is your back doing? Are you going in for surgery on the wrist or is that ok now? I hope that you are all healed up in every direction. :)

Sorry for yet another quick checkin!

Last night I did get in another 25 minute yoga routine (baron baptiste - unlocking athletic power). ALso went for two walks with our pup. (loving this weather!)

This morning I slept in so no AM workout. When I got home I took the pup for a walk and also did Yoga Max Premix Express #1. Just finished with a bunch of school work. Its 9:20pm already and its past my bedtime! I need to scoot so hopefully I can get a workout in before work tomorrow.

Sherry - You are right - no more excuses!! Though I have to say I tried to eat a wheat thin today and couldn't! :( My teeth are really sensitive still. Surprised me. Applesauce and P&J sandwiches for lunch for me all week! :p

My DH's dr. appointment went well. They took an x-ray of his hip, everything looking great. DH is cleared to drive, exercise and whatever he wants to do, except do some crazy yoga moves or running, lol. The hopital where the doc had his office wasn't gonna take an x-ray (we had to go to another place to get it done) My husband said he wasn't gonna leave until he gets an x-ray of his hip. well, he did! Now DH is excited to get into his PT again.

My workout today is: 45 min run.

Sherry - nice job, with your P90X UB workout. How do you liking P90X ?

Karen - good job with that yoga.

Heidi - awesome job on the TM walk. My back feels fine. I don't need surgery on my wrist. Thank for asking. How are you doing? What's wrong with your hip?

My run is done:D My ipod wasn't charged, my smart phone wasn't sharged:eek: so I ran without music and I don't have a clue how far I ran. I can tell you that much, had an awesome cal burn:eek: 677 cal burn. I did an interval run outside.

Belinda: LOL! I hate when that happens...sometimes running free is the best. Great job! :) Wow great news on your DH's Doc giving the go ahead on whatever routine he wants. :)

Karen: Sounds like classes have picked up steam again. Yoga is great for unwinding after a hectic day. ;) At least your getting in walks too.

Sherry: Yup foot is better but figures on that same side I ended up pullling hip muscles.
My hip is getting better. When getting in and out of my car I feel it the most. Must be a bad angle for it in the seat. :(
YEAH! I hear the freedom bell ringing when the schools let out! LOL!
Great job on your upper workout! How are you doing today with the DOMS?

Today I did GS Chest and Tri. I felt every part of it too! I will be sore tomorrow for sure. :)
