Getting it done for January 2015

Hi and Good Evening!

Been a busy work day for me as usual.

Before work I did a 4mile TM run. Perfect for getting rid of my headache for a bit.

Been using my Up band to track steps and sleep patterns. It says my average sleep is 3.43 Total a night! EEK! No wonder I have headaches. :/

Belinda: Recipes? Love new recipes! :) Will have to check out that website. Would I have to join in order to see them?

Sherry: LOL! Yup Cathe is evil with these new ones. Feeling my upper body again! Phew! Awesome job getting back into the swing of things.
Would you believe DH made a pizza of all things tonight? Argh! Well back to my soup which I had for lunch as well. LOL! ;)

Tomorrow I will get into work super early. Then come home to cook up my chicken for dinner. I find getting dinner made ahead helps so when the troops come home there is no quick get meal thing like grabbing junk food. This is the biggest issue I am sure for anyone.

I will make two soups tomorrow as well: Squash with Quinoa and Apricots and Greek Style Split Pea Soup.
Both of these recipes are from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker by Judith Finlayson

Its so super cold here and NOW it is snowing! Argh! Good reason to have soup on hand. :)

Next week they are shutting the power of for 8 hours on the 13th! What are they nuts! In this cold! Grrrrr

Anyway...Great job ladies getting it done!

Heidi - we posted at the same time :) I am glad your run took care of your headache today, lol. Fantastic job! Eat some pizza, girl! After all those workouts, you deserve a slice or two, lol. I will post some recipes after my shower, did my workout. I am not sure you have to join? Mmmm…I will check it out for you, ok?

WO done - tonight I did a few sprints then stretched. I'm still feeling Monday's leg wo. Really. Eating is so/so. We still have some junk in the house from the holidays, and I didn't think when I reached for a snack after work. I put on shorts to run (been wearing capri's), and I don't like the cottage cheese on my legs (from my perspective). Maybe I should have changed first.

Miserably cold here, too. Light snow today. Tomorrow is supposed to be a couple of inches. So don't like going out in this.

I think a resolution for me is to become a morning runner. I just need to do it. So hard when I don't get to bed early enough. I have trouble falling asleep if other people are still up, not that they are making noise, just don't sleep deeply. Is that a mom thing?

Belinda - Nice job today. Are you still doing double wo's? I'll pass along any nutrition info I find that's helpful.

Heidi - Nice run this morning. That's definitely not enough sleep. Your meal planning sounds great.

Gonna relax now for the night. Let's make tomorrow a good one.

Today I will do XT Tricps and Biceps. Plus SBF Stopwatch Planks + Shoulders = 25 min.

Sherry - please do! Like your new years resolution. I like getting my workouts in the mornings. Yes, I am still doubling up. I need to get over that winter blues:p I will slow down once the weather is getting better.

Heidi - have fun with your workout today.

I have a doc appointment this morning. Getting ready to do XT. I will not check in until later this afternoon.

RWH LIHI Legs today. Ought to be a challenge for sure. Last time I did it I used 45# barbell, we'll see where I stand today. Wish me luck.

7:04 - just finished that workout. I don't know which workout I was thinking of, but no barbell here. I just followed along with the weights Cathe uses. I think I'll up the wood chop weight to 12 next time, otherwise I'm right there. I love this workout. It's so fun and it just flies right by.

Hello to Sara! Nice job on your leg workout and weights used! Are you feeling it today? :)

Sherry: Starting off today right with a fruit/veggie smoothie! Yesterday was terrible for I had a slice of my DH's pizza plus chips. Argh! Was way too hungry when I came home from work to make any big meals. So I just grabbed anything...Not a good plan. ;)

Weather here is about the same. Very cold and snow due due this morning again. Running outside is out of the question with temps below 20 and wind chill around -3. It should get into the 30's by this weekend which should be better.

I look forward to your report on nutrition findings too. ;)

Belinda: Hope your Doc appt. went well. :) Great job on your workouts! Plus doubling them up. I didn't get to my workout yesterday morning as planned. SO IT IS ON THIS MORNING!

RWH circuit legs!

Slept much better last night. I slept in a room by myself. Sound sleep was 4.11. Total sleep: 6.51. Much better than 3 or so!

Heidi - high fives on your workout this morning. Good job getting your workout in this morning. I saw someone running this morning, LOL! Too cold for me! Appointment went well yesterday. Got some blood work done. I need to get an ultrasound on my thyroid. I will make an appointment Monday.

WO done! Working from home today, so I was able to get in a sprints earlier but just now posting.

Belinda - High five for your wo. I agree - was too cold to be running outside.

Heidi - Yay, done with legs. Last night I picked up a rotisserie chicken on the way home - with a quick salad, dinner was ready, presto!

Cold and snowy here. Sure it's the same by you. Stay warm, and try not to indulge in too much comfort food (note to self).

Morning! My workout is complete for this morning. 4 mile interval run at race pace. PHEW!

I am off to drive my Mom's friend up to New Hampshire. Everything else is the same ole same old weekend stuff.

Awesome job ladies on getting in your workouts early! Makes a difference I think.

Belinda: My Mom recently had her thyroid rechecked. Everything remains the same there. Good luck with your appt. too!

My soups are made ahead and dinner is ready for tonight. YEAH! No PIZZA! LOL!

RWH LI premix 2 - i love to combine the two workouts.

Drizzly rain here in the Seattle area, so it'll be an "inside" day today.
 
Today's workout is complete! RWH LIH2 is short and sweet! Not as intense but some great exercises that work the glutes and core. I followed that with BA1 and I have to say I love this ab workout. No dread factor here, the exercises flow so sweetly and the dumbbell tells you, you are working those abs!
