Getting it done for February 2015

Heidi - I hope you can loosen some of those DOMS up this morning. To me leg DOMS are the funniest ones b/c it feels like your walking like Frankenstein, esp on stairs. :)

I had awful DOMS the first time I did that back workout, but not since. I love these workouts so much b/c the really push.

Today is Hard Strikes and I'll ad on an XTrain abs, not sure which one yet. Those are hard.

Hope all of you in "Snow Country" are hanging in. Maybe it'll lighten up for the weekend. Happy Friday All!

Heidi - it was freezing cold yesterday. Sounds like you go a good workout in yesterday. WTG!

Yesterday I was able to take the dog for a walk. Amazing how 25* and some sunshine feels wonderful. Lol! Then we went to get DS for the weekend. Had dinner at a burger joint. The guys had amazing buffalo burgers and I had a black bean burger - freshly made that day, not the frozen kind and very delicious! :D

Today was a dog walk (before it gets slushy - we're supposed to get above freezing today) and a 3 mile run on the tm - which was a very good run. Trying to get some stuff done here, like taxes and FAF's (which is why DS is home for the weekend), and if that goes smoothly, then day 2 of legs this week.

Sara - Love RWH UB, too! Agree with you on the leg DOMS. UB, especially pecs, just make you sore to do a few things. But LB DOMS - that can make barely moving a chore!

Belinda - Good job getting in wo already today. Did you really take the dogs out in the bitter cold the other day? You are either brave or crazy!

Heidi - Nice job getting wo's done today. Looks like it's been a bit easier to keep up with them since the snow's been a bit "lighter".

Sherry - little bit of both:p didn't see anybody walking in this cold. LOL! Yesterday it was 45', very nice. In the evening we took the dogs for a walk, it was getting cold again.

Yesterday I did fit in D3 leg conditioning drills as a bonus.

Today I did D2 and 3 miles of intervals. I'm completely worn out, but got the whole week's plan completed. now just home from taking DS back to school.

Belinda - Hope you enjoyed your relaxing day. Made it all the way to 36* yesterday - just enough to make the roads and walks a slushy mess. Getting ready for more cold this week.

Today I am starting week 11 with the XT rotation. I will do XT CBS.

Sherry - it was in the 50's yesterday. We took the dogs for a long walk in the evening. I also did 40 min candlelight yoga. We are getting snow in a few day's again, arrr! You are kicking but with your workouts. Good for you.

Heidi and Sara - how are you doing?

Hi all!

Today was week 2 of M1 - starting if off with D6. Love how that works the legs. Don't like having to climb up the stairs afterwards.

Forgot to mention that this weekend I ran by the sports shop (Dunham's, I think it's regional) and bought some goodies on clearance - Cathe's weighted gloves - which will be perfect for STS - and also KettleworX DVD set - I think it's the old set, but it was a very good price.

Belinda - Happy week 11! I am kicking it with the wo's. This week's focus is really on food. I'm prioritizing protein, which should really help the rest of it to fall into place.

RWH - Low Impact Hiit One is done. I don't know if I mention it here? Tracey Mallet is having a 60 Day Challenge for $177 :( You get 10 workout (they all digital/no downloads) and a eating program. I was doing her IGNITE workout and really liked it. But I can buy so many different workout programs for $177:DToday is the last day to sign up. What do you think? :p

Morning Ladies, I've been having a terrible allergy attack, maybe the worst one of my life. Here in the NW it has been unseasonably warm so things are blooming a bit early and we had a couple of pretty windy days. Yesterday I eeked out RWH Low Impact, but pushed my schedule to the max b/c I slept much later than usual. Feeling a bit better today and will do RWH Upper. I'm just starting the RWH/XT rotation.

Glad it's starting to warm up a bit for you. Hope your day is lovely.
 
Hi all!

Today was a run day. Ran 800's - those really get to me - it's like not running completely all out 'cause it's longer than a sprint. Finished with SMax with the band - nearly heaven!

Belinda - Nice job on LIH1. I agree, that's a lot of money - what I could get with that . . . ! I'm not buying in. I have my wo plan - STS with running - and my food plan - that I'm planning and sticking with it (big accomplishment for me :D ). Plus, there's those wo's I have that I haven't really done . . . Oh, and yes, the DVD set came with a kettlebell, so it was like buying the kettlebell and getting the DVD's for free - couldn't pass it up.

Sara - Take it easy it you have to. Jealous of the warm weather (as it gets ready to drop below 0* again this week). Hope you got your wo in, but if you didn't, your body probably needed the rest.

Waving Hi to Heidi! I'm sure your wo's consist of ShovelMax and not much else.

Sherry - the snow has just been relentless. Sorry you have to endure. And the cold too. Way too cold for me. You are a hearty woman. :) Are you liking the results with the STS/running combo. On a regular work day I find it so hard to get in a second workout, and on the weekends I'm usually spent. Great Job.

Belinda - I hope your doctor appts go well. Enjoy your rest day.

Today I'll be doing XTrain Legs. I'm feeling a lot less effects of my allergies, but it's such a pain b/c my nose just won't stop running or itching. For whatever weird reason though, working out usually helps clear up a lot.

Tonight's wo will be D4 - and probably a bit of shovel max - just enough falling to cover the drive. Good thing it's an UB day, 'cause the LB is talking to me everytime I get up.

Belinda - Enjoy your rest day. Hope all the dr. appt's go well.

Sara - Hope you got your Leg wo in. Nettie pot! I'm a firm believer in using one when the sinuses start to act up - both for sinuses and colds.

Now that I've upped the weight intesity with STS and ramping up the running with distance/speed, two things are happening - appetite increasing and need more sleep. As for appetite, I'm prioritizing protein (think I have that down this week) and filling with veggies, but still getting everything else, too. I'm only exercising in the evenings during weekdays (either strength or run), and then double up on the weekends for the run/UB or if I get a bit off schedule. My plan, for M1 anyway, is:

Mon - legs #1
Tues - run
Wed - UB-first half
Thurs - run
Fri - legs #2
Sat - run/UB-2nd half
Sun - rest, unless an off-day earlier in the week shifts everything back

Work break over - back to the grind. BBL to report my wo.

OI! Enough with the snow already! I am getting enough upper body workouts in I think LOL!
No other workouts since my walk on Sunday.

Today I finally got in one:

Belinda: So glad your appt's went well.

Sara: Sorry to hear your not feeling that great with the allergies. I think the dry air isn't helping with that. I third the suggestion for
the Nettie pot too. Or add extra moisture in the air with water pots around heater vents or on the stove.

Sherry: Your workout schedule looks great! I am doing similar but hope to do more! LOL! Mornings early work better for me.

Other than just trying to dig my self out it has been very busy at work.

Well speaking of work I better hit the shower and get moving before it starts to snow again. Big storm headed our way this weekend. Argh!
