Getting back in shape

Hi Cathe,

I dont usually do message boards but I really want you to know how much you motivate me. I have been overweight for many years (I am 48) I lost 81 pounds last year and have kept it off except for a few pounds that have crept back on. :-( I walk and do Tao Bo at least 5 to 6 days per week but find it is not enough. My upper arms are pretty icky to look at as are my abs. I know I can never look like a beauty queen but sure would like to try before I am 50! I want to invest in your workouts but would like your advice on which ones to start with. I love lifting weights and am ready to challenge myself.

I figured it was time to see what I can do if I really push myself. I have always dreamed of running a half-marathon but have a neuroma in my right foot so running is out. I just know when I am finished watching your show I am so motivated and encouraged and dream of being in the shape you and your crew are in.

Thank you for all you do.

Obviously I am not Cathe but I found that using Basic Step was a good start for me. I have been absent from CATHE workouts for the past 5 months due to work and the inability to use her workouts. So in order to get myself used to her again I will be using her Beginners Rotation in the DVD Rotations forum. You should go in there and check it out. It might be something for you to consider. I know I will be doing that to get myself used to her workouts again and to get my body ready for her more advanced workouts. Good luck along your journey and I'm proud of you for losing so much weight already. Keep up the good work and the awesome progress!! :)
