Angela! I agree...he NEEDS STS instead! We only want the BEST for our hubbies! GOOD LUCK convincing him. I am trying to figure out how to convince my DH that I NEED the new pull up system since I ALREADY have a pull up tower!

He's almost convinced! I didn't think he would be so excited but he's loves her new gadget, he knows he doesn't mind her voice b/c he's heard her for years as I always crank up my workouts (esepecially the ones with good music), he likes her workouts (although he has yet to make it all the way through BC), and he likes the one rep max calculator idea and the fact that there are only 3 workouts a week to commit to and that by mesocycle #3 we are lifting 80 to 90% of our one-rep max.

I didn't think I wanted this series but I really think my hubby would get a lot of use out of it and I love that I can do a variety of cardio in between.

Holy crap!!! I've never wanted anything so absolutely, postively, incredibly much in my ENTIRE life! Now I want those slanted risers too!!! What a fabulous, fabulous invention! I'll be getting it as soon as it's available---look out credit card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :)

I am INCREDIBLY excited as well... I had been pondering how I was going to handle getting some sort of pull up bar system going as I workout in my garage and the placement of the door does not allow any space for a regular door pull up bar.... problem most excelently solved!!

And huge kudos to the SNM crew!!!!

Slanted Risers

Allison:

You need the slanted risers! They are awesome! A lot of people consider these a luxury, but I took the plunge and ordered a pair. I tested them for the first time this week, and they feel way more safe and stable than using the regular risers for incline work. I love them! The step is more secure and slanted at a more comfortable angle for heavy weight work. It is easier to get into position with heavy weights.

I hope Cathe will film a dancy step workout again someday and include a combination with the slanted risers for cardio. The creative possibilities are endless.

I am excited about the STS pull-up tower too! I was less than thrilled when I heard about pull-ups being included in this series and expected to watch them or modify with bands. I can see myself doing the intermediate version until I get strong enough to attempt a real one! I am so thankful that Cathe and Chris thought of designing something for those of us who are not yet strong enough for a vertical pull-up and who do not have room for a big and bulky piece of equipment. The door bar is not an option for me, so this is perfect and less than $100.00!

I love your kitties! :)

Blessings,

I like the new pull-up contraption, but I really don't need it either!

(And I'm wondering about the width of the bar for pull-ups. Cathe is quite petite, and it looks like her hands are as wide as they could possibly be on the bar. It looks to me like it might not be wide enough for variety for everybody. But maybe I'm wrong).
