Good Morning :)

Today was RS. I haven't done this in a long time, and I forgot how much I enjoy it. It was nice just to do a fun cardio, instead of an intense cardio.

Still not sure about next weeks rotation. I am not going to take a rest week, I don't feel I need one. I was leaning toward BFL, but I'm not sure if doing the Pyramids is endurance. I want to do heavy, so I will probably end up doing Oct. rotation.

Gin~ Sorry about your computer yesterday. Don't you feel so out of touch without the computer? :) I hope the new meds work for you. My grandma used to get really bad migraines and all she could do was lay in bed all day~ it was horrible.

Marcy/Tracee~ I hope you all have a good workout today. What did you do today?

Off to an emergency dentist appt.~ DS7 fell in school yesterday and did some damage (I think) to his tooth and gums, luckily its his baby tooth. Then I have an appt for older DS about changing his meds. Its a doctor kinda day:) :)

I will try to be back later~

Good Morning Ladies!

I overslept today and missed running and missed RS.x( I plan to do RS when I come home from Bible Study. I started taking the new meds last night and had trouble sleeping and then trouble waking up....side effects!?!?!

Deanie--Good luck with the dr's appts. Did your son get hurt anywhere else besides his tooth and gum? I am planning on a rest week and then pick up on the Oct. rotation and join everyone else.

Tracee and Marcy--I was surprised and kind of sad to see Albert kicked off. I thought he was such a cutie and such a cute personality!

Have a great day!
Gin:)

Good Morning!

Today I did Step & Circuits from SJP and burned 380 calories. I liked that it wasn't too long and seemed to have more strength than cardio. I skipped the barbell squats and inserted leg lifts in front, back and side attitude and did pulses in those positions. I did the static lunges but instead of the barbell, I used 8# dbbls and did overhead presses, hammer curls, side raises (straight arm) and upright rows. I did it on a 6" step.

I'm still not quite sure yet of what I'm doing next week.

Deanie - Sorry about DS' accident. I hope other DS gets meds that will work for him. Are they still working when it's time to do homework? They always seemed to wear off for my DS by that time. Even though there is some heavy lifting in PUB, I would say it's much more endurance. Just think, 52 reps for each exercise.

Gin - I've been doing all step and IMAXes on 8" with the exception of IMAX 3. Since I don't feel the need to overdo it on the cardio, I am going back to 6". For today, because I was on 6", I feel I had more energy on the blasts. Glad your doctor is working out for you. I hope the meds work out for you. Did the doc say lack of sleep was one of the side effects?

Gin/Tracee - I was sorry to see Albert go but I wasn't surprised. He was great last week but I thought Mark was better than Albert this week. It looked like Albert really struggled through the quick step but Mark looked like he was having fun and had a bundle of energy. I really wanted Mark to go last week but now that he's around for another week, hopefully he'll keep improving.

Tracee - What'd you do today?

Marcy

Good morning ladies!

Today I did the SJP/SB premix like Marcy. I enjoyed this one as well because I felt like it had more weight work and because we only had one step routine that you had to break down. I get bored with that after I've done the dvd a few times.

Deanie - good luck at the dentist and other doctor. I've had those days where it seems like you're just running from one specialist to the next. I think I'm going to go straight to the Oct. rotation next week. I'm not feeling the need for a rest week right now either.

Gin - sorry to hear about your headaches. I get them a few times a week but they aren't near as bad as yours sound. I hope your new medicine starts working for you soon.

Marcy/Gin - I was kind of surprised to see Albert go over Wayne. Although it makes sense when it's based on popularity. I usually fast forward through Wayne's dances so I won't be sad to see him go soon. Didn't you guys feel bad for Jennie Garth on Monday after their spill? She looked like she was going to break down crying while she was waiting for the judges comments. That must be so nerve racking!!

BBL

Tracee

Tracee - I felt really bad for Jennie. I thought she did really well until the spill. The quick step definitely suited her. I hadn't done Step Blast in quite a while but it was easy to pick it up again so I was glad there was no breakdown.

Marcy

Good Afternoon :)

The dr. visits went well today. The dentist said DS's tooth was fine, no trama, and in a few weeks, his adult tooth was going to start pushing thru anyway:) My other DS will be sticking with his meds, but they do wear off during home work so she gave us a prescription for a 4 hour dosage to take after school. :) If he wants to try something new (i.e. 12 hour meds) we will wait for winter break.

Gin~ I hope you get your workout in today. Is lack of sleep one of the side effects? and if it is, is it a good trade off?

Marcy~ I think you are right about PUB being endurance. So I will be going right to the Oct. rotation. I will be starting on Monday, since I will have my brother and his family here for the weekend. You were very creative with your workout today:)

Tracee~ I liked this premix too. I'm glad she puts premixes in the rotations, otherwise I prob. would never do them. I will be joining you on Monday with the Oct. rotation :) I did make some changes though to the first week.

Deanie

Deanie - Glad Dr's visits went well. I will check over the October rotation and compare with others. I will either start on Monday or take a recovery week and then start the next week. I agree about the premixes in the rotations. I don't do them enough but I'm glad after I do them. I really liked BM2 Bootcamp and Double Upper Body. I want to try more of the KPC/L&G premixes. Someone over at VF really raved about KPC/L&G #18. I guess I'm getting more creative because I'm tired of the same old stuff and I'm trying to see what works for me. I took measurements this week for the first of the month but will take them again next Monday. There was some good/some bad but I'll wait until next week to post. I enjoyed this rotation because I did a lot of workouts and premixes I never seem to do but I don't think circuits work for what I'm trying to accomplish.

So do you have a younger or older brother?

What changes did you make to Week 1?

Marcy

Marcy~ I like BM2 bootcamp premix also. I haven't done any premixes combining KPC and L&G. I would be up to trying one though. I was thinking of subbing L&G or LL for GS legs later in the rotation. I don't know if I want to work my legs for an hour. I have 2 younger brothers. The one coming this weekend is 3 years younger than me. We've been close since I was in H.S. (before that the usual sibling stuff) and its nice to say we are good friends. I also really like his wife, my SIL. My other brother is 9 years younger than me, and although of course I love him, there truely is a generation gap with us. Do you have any siblings? younger or older?

this is Cathe's week one:

Mon: Slow & Heavy Back and Chest

Tues: Slow & Heavy Legs

Wed: Step Blast and stretch

Thurs: Slow & Heavy Bi and Tri

Fri: 50 minutes steady state run and Abs only from Butts and Guts (no ball)

Sat: Slow and Heavy Shoulders plus 50 minute indoor or outdoor Bike Ride plus Stretch

Sun: segment one Stretch max

I just changed Fri. and Sat.:
Fri: Cardio Kicks

Sat: Slow & Heavy Shoulders, HIIT and Abs only from Butts and Guts (no ball)
What do you think?

I liked this months rotation, but I am definatly ready not to do cardio every day.

Deanie

It's funny that you guys say you don't usually do premixes because I tend to do those more than the full workout because they are usually shorter. Ha! I love the premixes and probably wouldn't enjoy Cathe nearly as much if she didn't have those on her dvd's.

Deanie - I like your changes to week one. I would have needed a substitution on Friday too so I think I'll stick CK in there for me. Glad to hear that both sons are doing well and that there won't be any permanent damange to your one son's teeth.

I'm not looking forward to doing RS tomorrow just because it's cardio and I'm so over cardio. We'll see how I feel tonight and if I can get myself excited about it. I do like RS but I'm starting to wish I had another form of cardio that I could do.

Marcy - I thought Jennie did well before the fall too and I'm actually surprised that more teams don't fall when trying to do those tricky moves.

Have a great evening.

Tracee

Hi Again!

You girls were busy while I was gone! I just finished RS as I sit here still sweaty!:p That one is always a fun one, but that last combo where she puts it all together had me a little step-challenged!! I hope I don't have trouble sleeping and then trouble waking up tomorrow morning!!

Marcy--The dr. said the side effects might be sleepiness (I had the opposite) and nausea.

Tracee--Cathe had a premix rotation earlier this year I think. Maybe we should try it sometime so that we can tryout some of the premixes we haven't done.

Deanie--Sounds as if the dr. visit went well. Enjoy you visit with your brother and his family. Does he have children the ages of yours?

Gin:)

Hi Again!

Deanie - I have two older brothers, one 15 months older and the other 4 years older. Hope you have a nice visit with your brother and his family.

Gin - I think this is the rotation you were referring to:
