Good Morning GMT :)

Today was SJP premix #23. I really liked it. I forgot to preview it yesterday, so the whole workout was a surprise:eek: Good thing we had just done SJP! I know we still have a few more days in this rotation, but I have definately lost inches~ my pants are much looser!:) which is good, because I feel my eating has not been good- a lot of bread lately.

Rotation: Now I am on the fence~ Cathe's Oct. rotation or BFL. If you all do Cathe's I will too. I like doing S&H/ GS for just 2 weeks each; but I also liked doing HIIT 3 days a week. Maybe I can combine the 2? :) Although, for me, everytime I follow Cathes rotations I always see good results..... See how on the fence I am?!!LOL

Gin~ I hope your visit with the neurologist (sp?) goes well today.

Marcy~ Any decisions???? It so hard, isn't it? I just wish we had the new dvds already!!!!

Tracee~ What's on the schedule for today?

I hope everyone has a great workout today.
BBL,

Deanie:*

Good morning GMD. This morning was going to be a premix from SJP but I couldn't get my head off the pillow. I did manage to do a little ab work from Cathe on FitTv last night and I'm sore from that.

I'm in for either Cathe's rotation or BFL. I'll be modifying Cathe's cardio if we follow that anyway so it would end up being more like BFL. I'm flexible so whatever the majority wants to do I'm in.

Deanie - we had someone come out on Friday to look at the washer and he figured out the problem but needed to order the part. It was a bad pump. Luckily, he got the part quickly and was able to come back out yesterday and put it in. I did two loads of laundry last night.

Gin/Marcy - DWTS - I really liked Helio's dance last night, how fun is he to watch? I also liked Marie's because she makes it fun to watch too. I liked Sabrina's again and Mel B's. I'm sure I'm forgetting other ones but those are the ones I can think of right now.

Have a good day. I'll be gone this afternoon so might not be able to check in again.

Good Morning Ladies!
I had a MAJOR MIGRAINE last night (labor pains night have been easier!!) and was up so much of the night that I called in sick today, which I never do! I took some meds with breakfast this morning and now feel fine. I may even do the scheduled SJP/SB premix that Deanie said was so fun. I do have the appt with the new dr. this aft. Hoping she can offer some good suggestions.

Deanie--I am leaning toward taking a rest week next week (easy exercising and walking and yoga??) and then following Cathe's October rotation but subbing some with my new PS dvds, until the new dvds come out. So we may be doing something different.

Tracee--Glad you were able to get your washer repaired. That is a tough thing to be without, especially when you have children! Didn't know you watched DWTS also. So many of the dancers seem to be on the same level this year...so far at least.

Marcy--I though Helio was the best and Sabrina also. Jane looked good too. I can't believe she is 56! Albert is too cute!!:) I really was having trouble watching, I felt so rotten.:-(

Hi GDT!

I decided no cardio for me today so I did the legs and abs workout from MTV Pilates Mix with Kristin McGee, Core Max 1 and Stretch Max 1. It was the first time doing MTV Pilates Mix and I liked it. It was somewhat challenging. I did all the levitation holds in Core Max. I will do the SJP premix tomorrow.

I still haven't decided. I might do a recovery week like we did in P90X. I've been doing a lot of reading again about body type and it seems that all the exercises I should be doing are most like what I did in P90X. I guess that's why it worked so well for me. I also didn't do any step all that time so I'm thinking after a rotation with the new DVDs, I might do a non-step rotation which is also what they recommend for my body type and as little cardio as possible. I am leaning towards the 4-day split though if the new DVDs don't come pretty soon.

Deanie - Does this premix have Step Blast in it too? Is it Step Blast step plus SJP weights?

Tracee - Glad you got your washing machine fixed.

Gin/Tracee - I also loved Helio. Sabrina did a great job again. I liked Jane, but I thought her dance could've had a bit more fire and spunk in it. I voted for everyone except Albert (the model), Floyd and Wayne. I thought Mark Cuban improved this week.

Gin - I hope you get better soon. My grandmother used to have headaches like you're describing and they would last for weeks. They sound bad if labor pains were easier. How often do you get them? I've heard about people getting headaches because of their diet. I know you eat well but maybe it's something you're eating that's triggering them.

Hi Again!

Marcy--I used to have a Kristin McGee yoga dvd, but got rid of it. Glad you liked her pilates w/o. I think I do better with more cardio, but I know I have lost some muscle tone so need to mix it a up. I liked the SJP/SB premix. Here's the format, in case you do it tomorrow: (60 min.)
SB w/up
SJP weights (bbl squats, deadrows, bicep curls, side lateral raises, front raises)
SB step(10 min.)
SJP weights ( lunges with bbl, bench press, tricep ext.)
SB challenge (15 min.)
abs
stretch

I have had about 5 headaches a week for the last couple of weeks, but before that 2-3 a week. They are usually bad, but nothing like last night. I thought it was nuts and peanut butter, so I quit eating that, which seemed to help in the summer, but there must be another trigger. I would rather try to eliminate the trigger than to keep medicating!!x(

Gin:)

Hi Again!

Gin - Thanks for the breakdown. It looks like I'll enjoy it. I think I'm going to go back to only using a 6" step. I feel like I'm beginning to think that less is more - not as much of a need for high impact. Have you been keeping a food journal that you can show to the doctor? I thought I heard chocolate also might be a trigger. So who do you think is leaving tonight on DWTS? I think it might be Floyd or Wayne. Do you remember which McGee workout you got rid of? The one I did today had 3 workouts - 1 with arms and abs, 1 with legs & abs and a bonus workout focusing more on legs which is good for me because it's non-weighted and a good add-on.

Marcy

HI!
I'm sure you won't see this until tomorrow, but my computer was acting up this aft and I couldn't post then.x(
Do you do most of the step workouts on 8" step? My knees have started to hurt a little when walking downstairs! Not so good! I guess it's a good time to slow down on all of the impact cardio.
I'm going to make a guess that Mark Cuban is voted off tonight. I know he was better than Wayne Newton, but I think Wayne probably has more fans that watch the show...don't you think?
I really liked the new neurologist. She has me taking Cymbalta as a daily preventative. It really is prescibed for depression, but I guess it helps migraine sufferers. I'll try anything at this point!
I think my dvd was just called Kristin McGee Yoga. It may have had MTV in the name also. It was 45 min. or you could stop at 30 min. and was just yoga.

"See" you tomorrow!
Gin:)
