gatorade or water during the workout............

Does anyone know if it's better to drink water during the workout or Gatorade or Propel? When I'm doing Hardcore Extreme or Imax 3 sometimes I am totally wiped 1/2 way to 3/4 of the way through so I was wondering if switching from water to a sports drink maybe that would help. Any thoughts anyone?

IMO, Gatorade and Propel both have ingredients in that are far from natural. Instead, I will often drink some Emergen-C in my workout water. It's high in vitamin C, b vitamins, etc., and comes in several flavors, including a cola flavor which is nice for people trying to avoid cola drinks but craving the flavor. Emergen C is available in health food stores, but I've also seen it in Walgreens and Walmart (in the supplement section).

Does Emergen-C have electrolytes in it is my only question. I'm not familiar with it either, I'm going to have to check it out.
 
I drink water during my workout and gatorade after. I doubt a little sugar will do any harm and it's probably cheaper than the other "healthier" drinks. I might be in the minority, but I refuse to pay for some overpriced water.
