Happy February First!!! I can't believe its Feb. already!

Today was L&G and KPC abs (I was lazy and they were on the same dvd:)) I woke up an hour later figuring I would do what I could, then checked the computer, and found out the schools were delayed two hours!!Happy day:) I feel I got a much better leg workout with L&G today than with legs and back. I think I need some weight for resistance for me.

Gin~ Are you going to do the Feb. rotation? I like it!! I've never done a rotation like that. I am usually a "straight shooter" kinda gal--> I just use S&H or GS and no other weight work that week. (Did you notice I used some Texas slang in honor of Rodeo day?;-) )

Marcy~ How was your workout today? Are you up to 2 pullups? Did you have fun at dancing last night? I was up till midnight (mahjong girls left at 11:15 and then I had clean up to do) and I couldn't get up at my regular time.

Tracee~ Hi!!

Good Morning DMT!

Today I did Leaner Legs and abs. Ouchie Mama on the single leg sqauts and I was seeing serious stars with the static lunges. It was too cold to walk today....27 degrees! I am out for Stock Show Day. Doctor's Appt.

***Today's Question*****
Which Cathe 1 or 2 dvds would take with you on a deserted island and which 1 or 2 could you give away?

My Answer....Tough to answer, but I would probably take IMAX2 and 4ds Split (or does that count as 2?) and I would give away Ab Hits and maybe Step Fit.

Deanie--Do you still have school if the public schols are delayed? We are always out all day if the public schools are out. I think I am going to stick with the rotation I came up with, but I printed Cathe's for possible future use. I have not ever done a rotation like that either. Interesting!

Marcy--Did you dance last night? Yes, I have done 3 marathons (Marine Corps '01, Austin '03 and Chicago '03) and 4 Half Marathons (Dallas once and Houston 3 times). The Half is my favorite distance, but the last few times I have trained I have become ingured!x( I'm scared to try again!

Hi Tracee!

Have a great day!
Gin:)

ETA: Deanie--I liked your Texas lingo. Now can you do a Texas drawl?? ;-)

Gin~ 4DS!!!!Hands down:) if that only counts as one I would pick DM as my second dvd (lots of great premixes and I love it as is). Give away- Im with you- Step Fit and timesaver dvd from the body blast series (I olny did one excersise from there and I've had it forever). I'm impressed with the Marine Corps marathons- those are tough! When the public schools are 2 hours delayed, we are one hour, so yes I have school today--I work for 1 1/2 hours!:) (I can't get there till 10:30 because of the delayed bus schedule for my younger DS.)

eta: hope all goes well at the dr.s today

Good Morning DGT!

I did Legs & Back this morning. Did 3 chinups and am real close with my pullups. I'm sure before this rotation is through I'll have a couple of pullups under my belt. I've been going deeper in my lunges and on the Groucho Walk and feeling it more.

Deanie - Yeah, I do feel like I accomplished a lot this past year. I'm pretty happy with my results so far.

Gin - I was wondering if you ever saw Whiplash the dog in the rodeo. I heard on the news this morning he's been riding in the rodeo for 21 years. I figured you must have done a few marathons. I would still try for another marathon. Don't let the other times jinx you.

Now for the big question:

I would probably give away Power Hour+ and Cardio Hits
The ones I'd take with me are KPC/Legs & Glutes, IMAX 3 and 4DS (alright, that's 3 but I couldn't decide).

I danced last night. We did an old dance that was before my time so it was like new to me. Dancing usually drops a pound off me so it usually keeps me in line if I do too much damage in the food department.

Good luck at your doctor's app't.

I liked Cathe's rotation but it would be too time-intensive for me and Thursdays off and weekends on is no good for me. But I think it sounds like it would be pretty effective.

Hi Tracee!

Hi Again!

My dr. visit was just to the headache dr. It's still a mystery. My mercury levels are very high. He said no more tuna and wants the dentist to change my fillings. I still wonder about a wheat allergy, even though he said it was very low.

Deanie--1 and 1/2 hours at work? That's nice. Are you still doing the music too? Actually, the Marine Corps Marathon was not any different than the others I did. I do remember when I crossed the finish line the cutest Marine said to me,"Ma'am, you just ran 26.2 miles!" as he put the medal around my neck. That was fun! I'm going to try Timesaver again in 2 weeks. Have had it a year and only have done 1 segment. Do you and your DH still have your Super Bowl bet? Keep us posted about that.:)

Marcy--I don't remember Whiplash the Dog, but it has been years since I have been to the Rodeo. I did hear all of the kids at school talking about the dog-riding monkey. That made a big impression on them! I would love to do another marathon, but I would like to have at least 1 training buddy. That makes it so much fun. I don't know who right now.:-( You lose a lb. after every time you go dancing?? I need to take that up!!;-)

Hi Again!

Gin - Yes, a pound or pretty close to it. Low impact seems to be better for me. High impact makes me too hungry so I eat back everything I burned. Even so, I still love doing IMAX 3. I usually dance for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. I guess that's why you always hear about how much weight people lose on DWTS. Of course, they do it for, I think, 6 hours a day so I would be surprised if they didn't lose weight.

Have you taken allergy skin tests to see if you're allergic to wheat? I supposedly have a bad wheat allergy but I eat it all the time and it doesn't seem to bother me. It's in almost everything we eat. I was amazed when I really started reading the labels. That sounds like a great moment at the Marine marathon. I don't think I'll ever be able to run that much. I did try running last year during one of Cathe's rotations but it just isn't my thing.

Hi Again!

Another Friday question - this one was asked on VF:

What was your first workout video?

Mine was either Jane Fonda's Challenge Workout or her Lean Routine.

Marcy

Hi guys:

Okay, I will answer the ? first: don't laugh- way back in '92 or '93 my DH, then my boyfriend, bought me a step and a Cory Everson video. It had some step in it, and some circuit work without the step!! Wow- I had to think about that for a while!

Gin~ wouldn't it be great if it was your fillings? you just get new ones, and your headache free:) That must have been great running 26+ miles! The most I've ever done was 3:)

Marcy~ I like!! Power Hour! Its one of my favorites! Good job with the chinups:)

Deanie

Marcy--This doctor gave me a blood test to test for food allergies and it was all negative except for a very slight allergy to wheat, bananas and garlic. He said that none of that was enough to cause my headaches, but I still wonder about the wheat. I'm going to check into having my fillings re-done, but think it's going to be very expensive. Isn't everything??

I'm not a fan of the Power Hour either.

Okay, this is how old I am!! My first workout video was actually a Jane Fonda RECORD that I owned 25+ years ago. A friend of mine and I would do it together. Don't remember the name, but she had leg warmers on on the cover and there was a Michael Jackson song on it. "Can you feel it?" Is that the song?
My DH gave me my step YEARS ago and it came with a not-so-good workout with Nadia C. The gold medal gymnast. Don't know how to spell her last name. I still have it!! WHY??

Gin:)
