Funny things our kids say about Cathe

Yesterday my son came out to the car with his arms quite full of school books and couldn't open the passenger car door. So I reached over from the driver's side and tried to push the door open for him. It barely opened, so he yelled, "Come on Cathe - push it!!" with a big smile on his face. I started cracking up but gave it a big shove and it swung right open for him. Gotta love our kids!!

Or how about the funny things husbands say....

When I'm getting ready to exercise DH says to me, "Are you going to do some mambo-cha chas wih your friends now?"
:)

My younger son calls Cathe "Evan's Mom" because he INSISTS Cathe looks just like his friend Evan's mom (yeah, you probably could have guessed that, right?)! :)

Since my kids have met Cathe a few times and I've been working out with/to her for almost 6 years now, she comes up in conversations all the time.

Just had to chime in on this one - my three year old daughter watches me workout on occasion, and she will shout 'Jump higher!', just like Cathe does...and my eight year old son will ask, 'Mom, did you enjoy a stretch?' . And all three of my kids will at least attempt to do pushups with me, using their own modifications, of course! I love the example that I am hopefully setting for them, and I thank you Cathe, for giving me the motivation to do so.

Have a great day all -
Karen

I love these threads! Yep, my 11yo daughter has taken to saying, "Work, work!" and "Are you working?!" to me in her best Cathe voice. We did the Kick Max low impact premix together recently, it was awesome fun!

the other day my daughter was 'stepping'. she likes to do some of the exercises with me too, including using light items for 'weights'. she's 5.

My son likes to play on my step and has asked me to show him how to "step". After I show him he tries to mimic what I do. Too cute!

Ohhhh! I LOVE Cathe-isms from the mouths of babes! My seven year old DS (who did a push-up contest with Cathe in SD ... we know, Pam, quit reminding us!!) quotes her all the time as well. In fact, on weekends, he'll sort through my DVD's and suggest which Cathe workout I should do for that day. He'll say something like, I think it's a Step day, or Mommy, is it a muscle day? So, here's a few others:

"Wow mommy! Your arms look almost as good as Cathe's!" (yeah, right!)
"I can tell you've been working out with Cathe, you're so strong!"

I have a pair of "goal pants" hanging in my livingroom to inspire me to workout and push myself harder. The other day, DS said to me, Mommy, you're going to get into those pants soon.... your butt's much smaller than it used to be!:rolleyes:

Keep 'em coming... this is soo much fun reading about the wisdom de Cathe our kids spout!

That's so cute your son motivates you with little inspirational sayings. I especially like his comment about the pants.

My girls love to wear their Cathe t-shirts while they "work out" with me. They take their weights (2 and 3 pounds...same as their ages) and love to do shoulder presses and they LOVE the STS tower. They play on it more than I do. They are always repeating what "Caffe" says. My older daughter does get mad that Cathe "can't count." She will yell, "Mom it is 6, 7, 8 not 8, 7, 6."

I even use Catheisms too and don't realize it. I told my students yesterday that we had a lot to do and that we need to "work! work!" They looked at me kind of funny.
