Functional total body

garance

Cathlete
I did this one today and enjoyed it a lot. I am 78 years old and had no difficulty with the weights or the pacing. A couple of the plank exercises were offered do-able modifications which I used. 54 minutes of a pleasurable workout. Looking forward to the others now, unafraid.

Thanks for giving us a little review!

I'm impressed you're still doing Cathe workouts - you are an inspiration :)

First, I really like the blues & greens of the set, the outfits & the plants on set - very restful on my eyes.

This workout has a metabolic feel to it - Cathe even sounds a little breathy. The weights used are 2x5/8/10s, and 1x12 Dbs; 25/35/40 BB; and a 10# weight plate (Db shown by Jen A). Sets are usually one, except the initial suitcase squats (with variations); reps vary between 8 to 16. Options are provided; Brenda does some modified squats at times (aka demi, partial or sissy squats). There is a definite core focus with 6 of the exercises devoted, which is expected in a Functional weight training workout. There's also a definite focus on balance challenges. Overall, a nice metabolic/functional weight training workout.

ETA: for those who like a little longer stretch/cooldown, this one is about 5-6 minutes.
