Functional strength gains with Cathe's workouts

I was wondering what changes you have noticed in terms of functional strength, what everyday tasks are easier for you, be it at home or at work?

I have a couple. Before staring with Cathe, the mere thought of getting in a squat position was a killer. Last night I had to retrieve something for work which required me to squat down, and I was amazed with the length of my squat, and the fact that nothing hurt!!

The second one was, again, work related. The hotel I work at as 3 flights of steep stairs to get to the top floor of guest rooms...(why is it that no one on the first floor never needs an extra pillow??), anyhoo...last year I would actually have to stop between floors to catch my breath. Last night I was able to almost run the 3 flights with zero stoppage.

The only thing different between this year and last year at this time was my workout instructor, what a difference!!

Well, I'm just getting back to cardio but I can't say enough about weight training with Cathe. Like I was saying earlier, I did an old FIRM dvd last night that has two whole sections of tall box climbs I used to struggle with and which used to nearly make me sick. But now, though those moves still get my heart pumping, I was amazed at the way my legs just DID IT and I was able to stand tall throughout. I noticed several nights ago on Cathe's B&G that I'm able to get down quite low on my squats now. As for functionality, I recently switched to a different job (with same employer) that involves constant movement and all-day lifting and have experienced no job-related strains of any kind (back is fine, legs are fine, no problems at all). This is all thanks to Cathe weight-training. Got to get real serious about cardio, though, if I ever want to stop getting so winded all the time. Patience.
