Geez, for a second there I thought you physically misplaced a pair of toddlers!! I mean I am sorry your numbers are down and hope things start to pick up for you soon. But otherwise, whew....

Yeah, my first thought when reading your post was "just go to the pound! Surely they have a couple of toddlers there you can pick up. All you have to pay is the spay or neuter charges and some vaccinations, and you're set!"
My second thought was, "why would anyone send anyone to a daycare where they misplace toddlers so frequently?"
Okay, so I'm evil and I'm clearly going to come to a bad end.

We're having the same problem with a vacant rental. Never taken two months to find a good tenant!

I just had an idea you might consider. With so many people out of work, have you considered short-term care? If a mom or dad has to go on a job interview, take a class, or go shopping for a few hours, maybe you can consider having a child for a few hours instead of all week. With enough short-term kids, it might help make up for the losses. I don't know if this is possible in daycare, but its something to think about.
