--FRIDAY-- *clean*it*up* --FRIDAY--

Okay, I think I have time for personals!

Re: the cookie delivery -- there was no occasion, he sent them "just because." There were about a dozen cookies - choc. chip, M&M, oatmeal raisin, choc. peanut butter, lemon coconut, peanut butter.... And they were very warm and completely under-baked when they arrived at my office - just the way I like them!!

Kate, glad you survived the fit test! Chris and I keep meaning to do the family picture thing and somehow it keeps getting pushed to the wayside. Next weekend is a long weekend - maybe then.
Angie, I saw the pictures on FB of the girls and their morning hairdos - so funny. Please tell me to mind my own business if you want to, but...how is the counseling going?
Nina, I don't blame you for not wanting to work that late in the evening. I only work 8-4:30, and I really wish I could work 8-3 or something but oh well... If you don't absolutely have to for the money, then keep looking for what you want.
Wendy, sounds like the renovation is going pretty well! Good luck picking a color - one bathroom in my house is yellow, and one is kind of an ocean blue. I love them both!
Klaudia, did you end up doing plyo legs? Did you decide on a rotation for October?

This morning I am going to do a HIIT-style workout on the treadmill - only about 25 minutes - and I am so excited to not have another hour+ workout facing me. It is really taxing mentally to get up at 4:45 am and know you have to go outside/get on the TM and run for 60-80-100 minutes. The HM training honeymoon is definiely over...

Good morning, Katie! Oh, I would've had to sample EVERy cookie!!! Sounds so good!
Enjoy your (short!) WO! I wouldn't be likin' the HM anymore either!

Lots going on today. I have to make 4 dozen cupcakes for my SIL's surprise party tonight. I WILL NOT EAT ANY! Nothin's messin' w/ my Insanity results!
I have to pick up the girls from school to take them to dance, then it's come home to change clothes and off to the party. It's at a restaurant so clean eats will prevail.
Isabel came in our bed last ngiht crying because of a headache - hope she's not coming down w/ anything. So off to the chiro we go this morning.

Gotta go get a few chores done. It's cleaning lady day!!!! It's so nice to get a spotless house and not lift a finger for it!:D

Hey all,

Katie, I'm so glad you like Fridays! It's always so fun when you get to start those threads. And counseling is going well. We're going to take a break for a while - we had about 5 sessions I think and they really helped us. I'm glad we did it and now we have someone to call that knows our issues/history if we get in a funk again but right now things are going SUPER well.

Kate, WTG on the fit test! I have to say that I think the workouts in month one are more cardio based whereas the ones in month two are more strength focused. I have a hard time doing a lot of the moves and have to modify (specifically the crazy push ups) but I feel like I've gained a TON of strength in my chest and back. I hope you like it. Those b/a pics are rough aren't they?!

Klaudia, can you tell the diff with the meds? I hope it works for you.

Robin, how was work y'day?

Wendy, I live outside of the town of Arras which is in northern France. It reminds me quite a bit of the midwest US. The weather is 4 seasons but milder than Chicago (where I'm from) so it's not quite as hot in the summer (avg 75) and not quite as cold in the winter (avg 40ish).

Nina, sorry about the job woes. Hang in there, I'm sure you can find something. I don't blame you for not wanting a nanny. You are the queen of avoiding cravings! I need some veggie advice from you. Since we've stopped eating beef, we're pretty well stuck with chicken (and pork) but I am wanting to incorporate some more veggies. I like them, just don't know how to prepare them. Any good suggestions?

Lisa, my MIL sends AWESOME books. She is a speech therapist for children (the field I'm going into) and so she just finds tons of good ones. I can pm you a list if you'd like. What kind are you looking for?

Colleen, sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you got good rest and that you have a calmer day today.

OK, "teaching" english this afternoon to an 11 y/o boy. Gotta get my house and self ready for that. Went walking with nice french lady this morning and practiced my speaking a bit. It was good. She speaks english very well so it's very non-threatening.

BBL.

Morning ladies!! Kate, have fun with the cupcakes!! Angie, glad things are going so well.

I have no clean cereal left, so I am eating Golden Grahams -- OOPS!:D

Everyone have a fabulous day - I know I will!!

Morning!

No workout yesterday-my neighbor invited me over for coffee and I decided to go-she's a sahm too, but has only been in the US for 5 years-she's Serbian like me but speaks very little English and my Serbian leaves much to be desierd but we manage:) Then we were off to dance and dinnner and...well you get it. No excuse, really. Today Nevena has a well check then we're running some errands and going to visit my grandma for lunch. Will try for Plyo Legs again this afternoon. The walk-a-thon is tomorrow and I can't wait for it to be done! We've raised $7000-more than with catalog sales, but I was hoping for a better turn out. Oh, well. At least I'll get to see Darrin run a race in high heels-for charity of course;) Sunday will be a veg day and boy do I need it!

Angie, that's exactly how Nevena's hair looks in the morning! A rat's nest! The meds will take at least 3-4 weeks to kick in and I'm on the absolute lowest dose so I hope they work. I had another panic attack last night-not fun. Have fun with your English lesson:)

Katie, so jealous of your cookie delivery. Darrin hasn't done something like that in a long time. Still no idea on a rotation.

Kate, Nevena has a little cough and needs her flu shot-hope they let her have it! Busy day for you! Great resolve to keep it clean!

yes, fridays are lovely! i am a big fan! unfortunately dh has to work all weekend and then come home and work on the bathrm, poor guy.

katie, i havent made cookies in a while and i promised my guys some this wkend. itching to make those nm cc ones but thats not so good for my ce... better i make ones i dont like! do you wear a hrm when you do hiit on the tm? looking fwdd to shock cardio cuz im never sure abt hiit on my own. ive been doing mostly random intervals on the bike and rower and maybe that counts but with hiit not sure how high your highs or low your lows should be, y'know?

angie, sounds like paris weather? paris was furthest north we went...toured bordeaux and dordogne region then parted with group to visit my fam in provence, then onto paris just my son and i -- and spent more in paris in 4 days than the whole 2 wks previous! we traveled right after 9/11 and dh was not permitted the time.

kate, cupcakes are so much fun! dork, i know, but i love icing cupcakes =) ods bday is this month and always loved them but he might think theyre cheesy at 16? too cute or whatev, need to figure that out before i go nuts, haha.

nina, fatoosh is a midde eastern style chopped salad. very simple to make and that regions food is so healthy. lots of armenian, lebanese, greek, etc where i live so meditterean (sp?) food inspires my cooking a lot! and when i dont wanna cook theres authentic hummus falafel and all kinds of HEALTHY goodies at the markets down the street! my version of fattoosh is tom, cuke, red on with lem juice, evoo, mint and sumac, s&p. it keeps well for a few days!

hi lisa! wtg on your insanity wo's... im feeling like the only one not on the bandwagon over here! no worries about your ic moment, i think its forgiven once in a while when youre doing supa-dupa (insert boston accent here) wo's!!

sorry if i missed anyone?

feeding JJ some brkfst right now, having my coffee, not sure whats for eats just yet. planning on a gym session and ub later and then some touchups on the bathroom. we primed (2 coats) last night but the wainscot needs some touch up before we paint away. i am almost decided on a nice beachy blue, on the pastel side, plus the wainscot and trim will be a gloss white. still need to put the sink vanity, cabinet and lights up.

bbl, maybe with some pics, we shall see!

hi klaudia! i missed you there! def allowed a rest day once in a while, just call it a rest day instead of a "missed" day ya know? that was nice of you to make time for your neighbor/friend, im sure she appreciates it.

Quick drive by--busy at work and busy at home this week. I leave for Portland at 6 AM tomorrow, so I won't be around for a few. I'm going west to visit friends for my birthday. It should be really fun! I have an all-day meeting for work today, so no computer time. I hope everyone has a great week! I'll catch up when I get back, I promise.

anne

Hi Everyone,

This morning I did Max Interval Plyo for the LAST time and a 23 minute run. My muscles were tight so I ran slower than I did last week. I really miss doing the max recovery workout this week because even though it has lots of planks and push-ups, it also has some really good stretches. This morning will be a little busy but this afternoon should be quiet so maybe I can leave early today. Not that I said it, some crisis will come up and I won't leave until 6.

Anne, have fun in Portland!
Katie, glad you had a short workout today. I bet it was a nice break.
Angie, what a great combo - a walk and a French lesson.
Kate, I love coming home to a spotless house. I hope I feels better.
Klaudia, don't worry about the extra rest day. You probably needed it.
Wendy, I bet you are glad the reno is almost done. I bet it will look great!
Nina, sorry the job thing hasn't been working out, hopefully something will open up soon.

Off to start my meetings. I accidentally double booked myself at 9:30. I will figure out how to make it work.

Angie, I think I'd be a bit intimidated to teach ANYTHING let alone English! Bonne chance!
Rough is putting it mildly! We both were like "DANG!!!!":eek::p We got laughing SO HARD at eachother when we were measuring!:D Nothing like self-depreciating humor!:p:p
Pushups are my wekaness too....blah.

Katie, Gina would love to be at YOUR house for breakfast! But if I let her have an even mildly sweet cereal on a school day.....CRANK-YYYY!

Klaudia, Sorry about the non-WO....you'll make up for it I'm sure!:)
Wish I could see taht race! LOL!
Hope N doesn't get sick!

Wendy, Can't wait to see pics!!! Fun!
I lke to decorate the cakes, but cupcakes are so much easier. And somehow easier for me to resist!

Anne, Will send you a PM!

Great day thus far.... and clean eats!!!!

my brother called awhile ago...

he needs SIX dozen cupcakes! They are all baked, and are cooling now
Frosting is mixed
I just have to pipe the frosting on and I'll be done

I HAVE NOT HAD ONE LICK!!!!!!

I WILL get results from Insanity!!!!

Katie, golden grahams sound wonderful!

Kate, WTG with your cupcake resistance. And I hear you on the measuring. That was fun. :)

Colleen, I am also in awe that you are adding running to insanity. My hamstrings are always so fried.

Wendy, yes, our weather is similar to Paris. Just slightly colder. Glad the bathrooms are coming along.

Anne, have a great weekend! We'll miss you!

Klaudia, I really hope the meds help you. Sorry about the panic attack. Hope you have a good day.

Ryan's out getting sushi for dinner. Sounds easy and fun.

Going to Belgium tomorrow (all of us) to visit our friends. Should be fun. Dinner will be out and I'll need to be careful.

Have a great weekend all - I probably won't be around much.

bye angie - have a great weekend. sushi sounds sooo good!

colleen, you are inspiring me with your insanity and runs. i know i will cut abck my running, but i cannot give it up, you know?

kate, you are so good to resisit the cupcakes. what will power!

katie, how did you do your run this am?

wendy, you sure sound busy. hope you get to the gym and have a good wo.

klaud, so sorry for the panic attack. my little sis used to get them terribly. she'd take a mild tranq during the event, and it was helpful. coffee with a friend sounds like a good thing. wish i could do that with you.

anne, safe travels.
