Well, I have to admit -- I love my new P90X. Today I did Shoulders and Arms, and now I'm totally wasted. Very intense 1 hr with just enough breaks to have a drink of water. Tony obviously put a lot of hard work and thoughts into this workout.
I also did 20 min HIIT on the rower. Nothing kicks mu butt as much as the rowing machine, heartrate was up to 177.
Endorphins... just keep coming, keep coming!
Hi, Mari, I did PS Chest, Shoulders and Triceps and then the abs off of MIS. Really felt it in my triceps, and even after doing S&H Chest for the past 2 weeks I was able to stay heavier on PS than I normally do. And I felt is on the triceps too and I have done some S&H triceps some these past few weeks too. So S&H must help with strength and I am just now reaping the benefits of it!!
Wow Mari....I did read about P90X myself. How would you compare the shoulder and arm workout to any of the Cathe workouts? I just did abs from PS and a 3 mile interval run. Got home early from work and am going to do Bootcamp!...enjoy those endorphins!!......Carole
Carole, P90X has different stuff. I did moves today I've never heard of before. I say it is more intense. Definitely worths every penny. I've just watched the 1 hr core dvd and it rocks. I can hardly wait to do it. I know you like tough stuff, you'd love this. Do I sound like a sale person?
The plyometric is very good if you can jump. Definitely would help running a great deal. I want my daughter top do it to improve her soccer. I had to modify a lot because of my hip, so I don't think I got the the real benefit of it. But the shoulders and arms are really great. Now I see why it is always on backorder.
I haven't watched the rest of the dvds yet.
Thanks Mari...as a fellow marathon runner I do appreciate your advice. I have done many weight exercises for years but different sounds very intriguing. I do have the site bookmarked and am going to check it out! I forgot...wow! for the 177 HR on the rower......Bootcamp was a great workout this afternoon......Carole
